I’m not sure if there is another thread on this, If so please point me to it. I got the new 78 Tots mask and I love it but I just want to do a few touchups on it like highlighting the cheek area, maybe the lips. I’ve never done it before so I’m just looking for advice on how to make it look a little better. Thank you guys for your time!
I did this to mine as well. What I did was use a very light gray acrylic paint with a small brush, and basically did some very light dry brushing to the cheeks. The key is to be subtle about it. You don’t want to go too dark, or it’ll look fake and tacked on. You want a more natural shaded look, just enough to highlight the cheeks.
It needs to be very faint, not heavy at all. My process was basically I would dip the tip of the brush in the paint, then wipe most of the paint off the brush on a paper plate, THEN put the brush to the mask. If it was too dark, I would just wet my finger and thumb, and just sort of dab it and wipe away the excess paint. This also creates a nice faded shadow look. After you’re done, if it still isn’t dark enough, just use a lead pencil to gently highlight those areas, and again, wet your finger to wipe away the excess and dab so it’s not too dark and noticeable.
Thank you guys for the advice I really appreciate it. I’ll post a picture when I get it done unless it looks like absolute S***.
