TOTS 78 paint and latex issue

I went and did a light black wash over the original paint, I just wanted to dirty up my non rehauled mask… and once again there is spots that the wash seems to just bleed into and stick to leaving blotches. When i went to whipe it off using a little more force than normal, I now see small like pinholes appearing in my latex! I never seen this with any other masks I’ve done. Any one else see this happening without putting your own layer of paint?

Frustrates me because I didn’t want to do a total rehaul on this one, just weather it up a bit and now it looks like garbage with the soaked spots and pinholes in it.

Looks like I’ll have to do a total rehaul now and buy a new mask just to keep as my stock version. Very frustrating.

I’ve got the pinholes in mine, but it’s just the paint bubbling up, reacting to whatever you put on it. You can thin it out again with white spirit and probably remove them, also the excess black.

Or you could just leave well enough alone…the tots 78 is the most accurate mask to date. It gives the Indy masks a run for the money. Just sayin

It does need a little work on it, but it is a fantastic mask.

Its good, but not THAT good.

Agreed it all depends on your copy… I just wanted some the details to pop in regular lighting, after I complete my mask for Halloween night I’ll have to do a full rehaul on this one as well.
