TOTS Boogeyman Recent Score

Hey everyone,

Been a very long time since I’ve owned a mask, so I figured I’d pick up one of these for fun until I’m able to replace it with something privately sculpted. Yet, even for being mass-produced, this mask holds a special place in my heart since the only custom made mask I’ve owned was a Nightowl Psycho.

So today, I share with you my new Trick or Treat Studios Boogeyman.

Needs a little bit of styling, and I know the paint could use an artist’s touch, but I’m happy with this mask. The only unfortunate defect is the noticeable chip of latex missing from the chin. Otherwise, great, affordable mask.

The Boogeyman is great for the price. I think it’s one of the better ones TOTS produces. Always loved the Psycho mold.

The hair on those is actually not bad at all, way better than the mask hair from years past.

Great mask one of the better TotS masks IMO.

Cool score!

That is great man, especially with the kind words, tots is awesome

First post here. Just bought this one over the 78. I gave mine a haircut in the back since it has a bit of a mullet, and had to peel up the long hair still sticking to the back of the neck, but it’s such a good looking mask. The weathering is misted on with an airbrush opposed to painted on like the 78 and just looks way better out of the box as a result. My one gripe is that it’s very bright and shiny—I tried #0000 steel wool to dull it but that didn’t work. I may try baking soda+water worked into a paste next. The shiny finish is very distracting.

Otherwise, I love the subtle weathering/shading, love the very authentic Kirk sculpting, and I think the non-slit mouth looks better than the 78, which for some reason always has a goofy looking open mouth gap on it rather than a subtle slit.

Mine has the exact same latex chip on the chin. Literally the same one in the same spot. I was bummed at first but feel better knowing mine isn’t defective. Seems like a manufacturing issue.

The boogeyman is a fantastic mask. I had one rehauled last year and I ended up selling it which I will say now I regret doing….it is definitely one of TOTs top masks in imo. Congrats my friends!!

I’m debating whether to fix it with a bit of E6000 or liquid latex to fill the gap then paint over it. Looks like our masks are brothers from the same factory mold

Any that’s a good idea about the hair. I styled mine a bit, but it is fairly long, and I do have a neck-mullet going strong as well. Looks like my Boogeyman was getting ready to be an 80s rocker or something.
