Tots h2 wow

:myers just thought I’d post a picture of my first Michael Myers mask, trick or treat studios shipped it to me super fast and I couldn’t be happier with it. Can’t stop taking pictures of the thing. Thanks trick or treat studios!

Right on! That B&W pic is great. I agree it’s a neat mask, I was pretty happy when I received mine not long ago, Amazon shipped it super fast, free shipping, for a total of $40. I think most non-Halloween fans wouldn’t see anything wrong with it. The only real criticism I have is that it looks way more skin-colored and weathered in the advertisement pics…when in reality it’s almost totally white. I mean seriously, what mask were they using for these pics? Not the mask they sent me, that’s for sure…the hair is totally different as well.

I definitely agree that they all kind of look a little different from the advertised pictures, I lurked these forums for a few weeks and saw many different variations of the same one so it seems like luck of the draw. I’ve been looking around for simple ways to weather the mask (artists charcoal) but I haven’t really found a tutorial yet. and I was going to touch up the neck with acrylic and a fan brush but wasn’t sure if I needed latex paint with it (50/50 ratio with water). It’s the perfect canvas though, I can’t wait to make it my own.

It’s not that they look a bit different from the advertised pics…it’s that they look almost nothing like the advertised pics. So that’s a disappointment right there. But it’s as you say, they’re a great canvas, nowonmai and uwannadon, among others I’m sure have near-perfected that process.

I’ve used artists charcoal on both of my TOTS H2 masks to great effect:

I’ve even used blood paint on my H2 bloodtears for that extra gory look. The only thing I don’t like about the TOTS masks is the hair. When TOTS first opened, they used two kinds of hair: course and baby camel. In my masks, I got the baby camel on my basic H2, and course camel oj the bloodtears. The baby camel is softer, but harder to style, while the course camel is easier to style and tangles easier for that matted and tangled H2 hairdo. TOTS owner, Chris Zephro, has told me that he too prefers the course camel and also thinks it’s a better quality hair, but he can no longer get it from the supplier.

Thanks Davy. That’s nice work you did on those masks! Pretty sure my TOTS is the coarse camel…pretty easy to style.

Thanks for the replies and help guys, I will definitely pick some artists charcoal up. I’ve been kind of messing with the hair, just some random pictures.

Skip the charcoal buddy and go straight to the cosmetic isle, pick up grays and black powders with no glitter. The charcoal will only rub off. If you want to just give it a makeover use makeup!

Makeup, lol! Maybe that’s a way to get chicks into the hobby. “Here, make this creepy mask look pretty, using all your favorite eyeliners, eyeshadows, pencils, foundations, blushes”…whatever other makeup there is…

Yeah I bet there are some gals out there that would show us converters up!

Here’s a TOTS H2 I did up H1 a long time ago, using makeup for the weathering

Actually looks pretty cool. What’d you do, break into your wife’s makeup box? Lol…

That’s sick, did you re paint the neck?

Thanks buddy
Cosmetic aisle

Well this the among the 1st dozen or so TOTS I did I just wanted to make an H1 or see what it would look like. I stripped the entire mask on this one , and a lot of things I had yet to learn are evident. The hairline, the nose… I remember when I first posted this, everyone laughed at the nose. Yhe proper right eye was so bad i couldnt sell it.

The board here is what I consider my artists panel. If something is not right they call me out and I’m thankful that they take the time to respond. Its only made me better. After all no one cares more about myers masks than the people here . :drinkers:

Great mask, dude! Welcome to the club! Keep the pics coming!
