Chris Zephro announced in an interview that they are going to make the original Star Trek masks in 2017!

And he said that they were making a 1975 kirk!! When I heard it I jumped up and shouted HOORAY!!! This is thr best thing that has happened this year!
Do you think the SHAT will be used or will it be a new sculpt? They also hinted about leather and chainsaws.

He’s announced the release of new masks before only to turn around and cancel them, so I’ll believe it when I see it.

But unlike the H1 H4 and H5 masks they already have the license.

And they are also making a Spock and some monsters!

I really hope they do make them but there’s plenty of time for something to go wrong between now and then so I’m going to remain skeptical until I actually see some masks.

I’m not sure whether this was announced earlier or just wishful thinking. Let’s hope for the best. This would be my first licensed Kirk or Myers mask.

I would love to own a nice Kirk mask!

This is great news!

I would definitely pick up three of these and convert one to a Myers if they became available, not to mention a Spock!

I want Spock!

More than likely the shat mold will be used… I also wonder if they snagged Connors TCM molds for their new lineup?

Maybe, but I think it might be a bit of an offense to Nightowl collectors to use that sculpt considering its’s only 6 years old and they waited 10 years to use the Pyscho sculpt in 2015.

Why would Nightowl collectors be offended? I’m not. I think it’s silly, unless they’re in the hobby for financial reasons alone. I would love a mass produced Kirk!!!

I honestly cannot think of any other mold that TOTS would have ready access to besides the Shat, unless they had Justin sculpt something from scratch, in which case it would probably turn out nearly identical to the Shat anyway so it would be kinda pointless. So yeah, it’ll probably be the Shat.

Just listened to the whole podcast with chris/justin. Said the Kirk will be the shat! Also, said they will be doing some twilight zone black and white masks! That’s got my interest!

As far as I’m concerned, any new mask is good news because it opens up new possibilities for fans…and based on my experience, the old masks retain their value even when their sculpts are used for mass-produced purposes…the Psycho is probably the best example I can think of. I have a question though that maybe someone can help answer. Hypothetically speaking, if I have a Psycho blank, and a Tramer that I strip down so that it’s also a blank, am I dealing with the same mask in essence? Is there more care and quality that goes into individual latex pulls rather than mass-produced ones? I feel like there would be, but I’m not sure of that…partly because the only mass-produced mask I’ve ever had is the H2/lunatic sculpt.

An econo Kirk… hmmmmm

Hey, this whole franchise is based off of an econo Kirk   While I am being very cautious, I am excited to see what they have to offer with this item.

I’ll say this much since I’ve owned both versions… essentially , at first glance, you have the same mask. But when comparing apples to oranges , they are both very different. I noticed a few marks on the Tramer that the psycho did not possess and the sizes are completely different as well. Early psychos tend to run on the average to smaller side while the tramers were very small in comparison.

Color me STOKED if it really is the Shat sculpt.
That means literally everyone would be able to try their hand at a from-scratch conversion.

We just thought the tramer was popular for conversions. The shat should sell very well!

When I talked to Chris on the phone before I moved out to California he said he had a BIG surprise in the works, I’m gonna guess this is it  I need to catch up with this cat for sure  :drinkers:
