Hi My friend has both. Side by side they are nearly identicle? Anyone else feel that way too?
You know, I actually was thinking the same thing the other day after I saw one of the first pictures posted on the forums here. I think it looks great, but yeah, I do see the similarity to the standard TOTS H2 mask. Which is odd because supposedly the H2 is a lunatic sculpt while the hospital mask is supposed to be a maniac sculpt. I definitely don’t mean this in a bad way, but you could look at the two and almost think they just took the H2 and repainted it then rehaired it.
All these masks do tend to look kind of like one another, but its the small variations that make them their own completely. The lunatic sculpt is modeled after the elevator chase in H2, where as the Maniac is based off of the H4 cover mask, which in turn was based off a back lot photo of the H2 mask. The Maniac has a bit of an angrier, more sinister look to it as well. While there are a lot of similarities, the masks are totally different to me.
Most of the H1/H2 masks in this hobby look similar from a distance, but each mask has its differences. In this case, despite the Lunatic mold and the Maniac mold both being based on pics of Dick Warlock wearing the mask, the Lunatic is based on the elevator chase of H2:

I don’t think the new TOTS look anything like H2. Looks like an H4 or H6 to me with the dark hair and the angry look.
The H2 is grungy, stretched and should have a slightly lighter hair color.
But the original h2 mask turned out way too big for some guys. Including myself. That was the only problem i had with that mask. I had to put a sponge into the mask to get a better look. Wasn’t already perfect but for one night only for halloween it was ok.
Does the Hospital mask have another (hopefully smaller) size ?
I don’t think the H2 looks anything like the Hospital either. The hospital is a beautiful mask to say the least though 
My understanding is that both of the new TOTS masks are smaller than the H2 by quite a bit.

I’m not sure which two you’re referring to exactly, but if you mean the Maniac and Lunatic counter-parts, then, yea, they’re similar because the Lunatic (the H2) is a stretched version of the Maniac (hospital mask).
It comes in a regular and small size now
This post is 2 years old buddy. And the Hospital mask isn’t the mask that comes in 2 sizes, it is the ToTS H2 (NightOwl Lunatic sculpt) that is now available in a “Deluxe edition” which is larger than the original.
Oh okay, do they still carry the “Hospital” mask? I don’t think I have ever seen that one.
Yes they do. The Hospital mask is based on the Nightowl Maniac sculpt. Here is a photo of my old copy

That looks way way too dark. I think they were just going for an H1 with that eye cut and sculpt. I would personally love to buy another h2 but in a small and totally redo hair and paint myself and see how damn close and grimy I could get it to the original from 81. Here is an H2 standard I shaped into an h1.
The Lunatic or TOTS H2 was meant to be an H2 mask but the original copies were just downright evil looking. I’ve seen tons of the mass produced versions turned into nice looking H2 masks, just the latex is much thinner in comparison to the original sculpt. Heath Johnson has turned some into pretty accurate H2 masks though. Your overhaul looks good, the sculpt is still an awesome one. I just love old NightOwl and how evil the sculpts looked in their original runs
Totally agree, see for me I would love to do an overhaul of a h2 tots in a small. I wear a 22-23 and I think if the time and love is just enough I could really pull a worlock off man. Especially if its a tight fit for a beautiful stretch in that case it might even be worthy of a hair change.
I’ll be looking out to see when you get started man! Your head size is perfect for a small H2 and it’ll definitely give it a slight Warlock stretch to boot! The rehaul you did makes a great H1 and I’d love to see your attempt at an H2 man
