If I had to guess, at this point TOTS is trying to get the H1’s out first to give time for them to quality check the H4’s and H5’s to make sure that the former has its neck extension seeing as how so many copies were cut the wrong way. They may have also had to produce more copies to make up for the loss of so many so it put a delay on things. You’ll get it, don’t worry. Just have patience. Good things come to those who wait. 
Just wanted to update on this.
I was at the Monster Mania Con in Cherry Hill, NJ this weekend and a vendor said from what he heard TOTS would be shipping the H4 and H5’s he ordered within two weeks or so which would start the shipping of orders on September 1st-ish. Just what I heard. Don’t take it at face value.
That’s most likely true. A couple weeks ago TOTS changed the shipping timeframe from August/September to just “September” on their website when you look at the H4 and H5 mask pages.
I figured that would be the case with the H4, but what is confusing to me is the H5. The copy I grabbed from Party City is perfectly fine and I see no reason for a delay on it. Not sure what the deal is with that one.
The H4 obviously is because of the neck issue, but the H5? No idea why that’s held back. All copies of the H5 out there seem fine to me. Ohwell, they will be shipping soon enough I suppose. I’m quite curious to see if they altered something with the H5 too. Probably not, but who knows.
It’s probably just a case of not having enough H5 masks made and when they shipped those to the retailers, ended up short on H5s for pre-orders. Hard to say really. It’s just weird because I had my H5 from Party City in early July.
Just for an official update, my TOTS H4 pre-order has shipped a couple days ago. Also, TOTS must be working on the weekend because my TOTS H5 pre-order has shipped, as the email just came in today, Sunday, for that one.
I was among the first folks to pre-order these, so keep that in mind. If you ordered in May or June, it will be a couple weeks or so yet before yours ships. But just know that they are now shipping out and will definitely be arriving before Halloween.
Same, Mine shipped a few days ago and says it will be in Tuesday. I will throw some pics up when it comes in.
Have the H1 knife , clown mask etc shipped??
Not yet. When they do I will update everyone here if I see some movement on those.
So far the H78, H4, H5, Loomis costume, H1 coveralls, H18 knife, young Michael full costume, Leatherface 3D and Cardinal Copia are some of the products I know have started moving. I am just going off of products I ordered, or know have popped up in shops and what not so far.
The young Michael clown mask itself has not yet, the H78 knife has not, the pumpkin props, the sign props, etc all have yet to move. It won’t be long though.
The 78 Mask Im happy i never ordered from Tot’s directly. I have literally seen 3 on the shelf and all thre LOOK COMPLETELY different. The one I bought thankfully is beautiful. It has the almond cut eyes and poofy hair and the mouth is sort of crooked like the original 78. the others looked so bad.
Some of the artists on that assembly line down at the factory have real talent, while others are just rolling with the punches. The problem is going out in the wild and finding the ones the talented ones worked on. It’s definitely doable though. I got lucky with my pre-order copy, and ended up finding a great copy at Spirit as well so I grabbed that one too.
All in all a great mask at the end of the day.
