TRIVIA: TLW voiced the opening scene of H2?

It’s kind of crazy to think I’ve watched enough interviews of Tommy Lee Wallace to claim I can recognize his voice in an instant, HOWEVER, that is exactly what I’m claiming.

I re-watched the opening scene of H2 just now and I’m pretty sure TLW voiced the actor who is opposite Loomis…

TLW has a very distinct cadence and a recognizable accent that I am pretty sure I can hear in this scene. I think they dubbed-in TLW’s voice.

Anyone care to agree/disagree?

That definitely sounds exactly like him. I’ve watched the movie so many times and never noticed that! Good catch!

I believe you are correct and in fact I think I’ve heard this confirmed before. TLW was John Carpenter’s go-to person for all manner of ADR and voiceover work for a number of years, and certainly was present for at least one session of ADR for H2 as the narrator of the movie marathon.

Haha definitely is TLW. Good catch

Yeah, Tommy did the voice over for that, if I remember right, Billy Kirkus would know more

I never even thought about it. Sounds like him at first then after that it’s hard to tell. I’m sure someone will chime in with info…

I’m 99% sure that’s his voice. The way he says “who” and “death” are what caught my ear.

I just thought it was a neat piece of trivia to add to the ever-growing list of useless HalloweeN facts. Lol.

Yep! They dubbed his voice over the original actors. The original version is much more angry, and confrontational. I believe you can hear it in the TV cut

I think the angry version is in the trailer. The TV cut is a mixture of TWL and another voiceover artist specific to that cut.

Ahhh maybe that was it, It’s been awhile since I watched the tv cut

What do I know? I don’t know anything more. Its possible it’s Tommy but…

You have more knowledge than us, and I mean that in the best way

Didn’t he also do the voice for the TV announcer in the original film during the movie marathon in Tommy Doyle’s house?

Sounds familiar and same with the h3 songs happy happy Halloween get ready for the big give away
