Man, its crazy. Even if i had that valuable of a mask-- The myers freak inside of me would be so tempted to have it sent off to one of the professionals to be masterfully converted. Just so i could say āi own a myers converted 75 kirk in mint conditionā
In a sea of mediocrity and RZ, this thread is a refreshing as the first beer of summer. Outstanding pics of an utterly amazing mask. Just curious, does the new owner post here at all?
Thanks! These are a couple of still frames from a old VHS I shot of the mask. This is what we did a long while ago before most of us had digital cameras or youtube.
Awsome stuff! To this day every time I see a new pic of a 75 KIRK it is like striking gold:)
"I just got some goosebumps looking at those. Man, it takes me back. Before youtube. hehe⦠what about before all these masks were sculpted? "
āI remember when the small 75 Sean Clark mask was and the Don Post was the only thing you could talk about. And of course, the films.ā
Those were the heydays! Itās allways a great pleasure to remember, and cherrish the early days. The BACK TALK chatroom, and message board days. I think 1998 to 1999 was the zenith for this hobby. Much like the crew for HALLOWEEN. WE were a little army trying to make good masks available. Steve Toddās 75 KRIK pics, C.R. walsh had his pettitions for the 99 Shatner which was now gonna be available for a limited time, E.A. was just starting to create the HMA. Most of us sculpters, mask makers, web designers, etc. were just getting up to speed, and most importantly WE had all the momentum. There was a clear vision of a glorious future for all of us fans.
I remember the time when I found the Fruit of the Loomis site way back.
Boy do I miss that siteā¦
Thanks for sharing the new images. Those are fantastic
This takes me back to the days when I was a lurker around the forums. Awesome pics, Josh! Thatās always been my favorite Kirk and mask period, glad to see itās still around and in wonderful condition.
