what glue works the best for adding velcro to a mask??
I used super glue on a cheapo once.
Any ideas?
Thanks
If you’re talking about velcro to close the slit in the back…I purchased the circular velcro cut outs, put them on my mask 2 years ago, and the original one’s are still in use today. Speaking from my own personal experience, that may be your best bet.
Kaizu, you can just put velcro right on the mask. It sticks really well, and if left on for awhile, it’s really hard to get off. You don’t need any glue.
Thanks guys!
I like to use long strips in order to give the mask a nice stretch.
The stamp on the back keeps the velcro from sticking from past experience.
So I was wondering what GLUE would be the strongest to keep the velcro from peeling off.
Ahhh, I see. Not really sure about that then. Sorry K man
Hot Glue or Super Glue have great hold.
T I use rubber cement. I also add a small scrap of latex and make a tab so you don’t have to overlap the mask. Here’s a couple of pics…Oh by the way rubber cement is permanent! Put the rubber cement on both surfaces and let stand about two minutes , then bond them together.
Rubber Cement has never worked for me. At first it seems like it will hold, but it eventually feels like water and dries with no stick to it.
Thanks guys for your help
I appreciate it
You have to get GOOD rubber contact cement and you have to put it on both surfaces and let it stand about 2 minutes then bond the surfaces together. It will not ever let go I assure you if you do it right. You can’t just put it on and immediately try to stick it together. If you want a permanent bond T do this. It works if you do it correctly.
That is a good idea Ron!! I like the fact that the mask doesn’t overlap like that!
Thanks again guys
I can pull on the tab I applied with all my might and it does not come off. Use good glue, rubber contact cement, and apply it correctly. This is the good stuff. Home Depot, Lowes etc
I can also vouch for contact cement, as I use it often. Just be sure to apply in a well ventilated area or wear a protective mask inside. The fumes from this stuff can be killer.
Thanks Chad
Thats a killer idea Ron…I like that alot…Where do you get the scraps of latex LoL…Later man
I have a question. How do you get it off?
I didn’t just put it on and think it would stick together. I read the instructions on the container, followed what it said to do, and it didn’t stick. I know your comment is trying to be helpful, but it came off as rude.

I just bought an old clown mask and cut up pieces to use as tabs
