I can’t say I’m surprised by the high body count and gore. I hate when they try to make Michael like Jason. Unfortunately, it seems that today’s casual viewing audience wants tons of kills and gore instead of something that’s actually smart, suspenseful, dark, atmospheric, and scary.

The only way a Halloween film can be smart, is by not writing stupid characters, and having even worse actors, the whole town going to destroy Michael, is more realistic in this day and age, though they should have people filming him, and have trick or treaters wearing cheaper versions of his costume that are based off the original, and all the previous sequels, cause that would be a nod to the fans who dress up
