Was the Hero H1 gonna be used in H20?

I really don’t feel like doing any research lol. I’m sick with the damn flu. :confused: Can someone please confirm if the H1/H2 Hero was actually gonna be used in H20? Or something closed to that, maybe an original Kirk converted?

I think he may mean that in the early stages of development for H20, was there a conversation had that perhaps suggested that they retrieve the original H1 mask to be used again. We all know what eventually happened with the whole mask situation during shooting.

Dick Warlock has reportedly campaigned/at least asked to reprise the role… Mentioning that he’d bring the original mask and coveralls.

Source: I’m an old(ish) fuck… I recall this from a very reputable source/offical(ish) word… Ie, the at the time relatively new Halloweenmovies.com, Anthony Masi, or even directly from dick Warlock etc

For what ever reason,they went with knb, and finally the Winston

Anyone have any pictures of what the hero would’ve looked like at the time they would’ve filmed? Would’ve been interesting if they had used it, but they likely would’ve destroyed it during filming

They we’re damn fools for turning him down!! WOW and they went for the Winston mask! I like the Winston ok… but nothing compared to the Hero. This actually pisses me off. I’ll never look at H20 the same way.

I may be wrong but wasn’t this from around 94 or 95? I know it was from a convention video. If so this was just a few years off, not bad!

Not to mention that they went with the KNB at first before the Winston. I think they wanted to “make it their own” lol

Dick Warlock and Ken Hertlein were going to do H2O with Ken’s RARE mask. They were all set to go until a higher up squashed it. There are photos of Warlock in full costume with this mask in preparation for that movie. Ken asked customers to keep them for themselves and not to circulate them. Hopefully out of respect nobody from the KHU project has done so.
