so i just got the camo diamond jacket that im cuttin the sleeves off and adding hood too…im good at weathering but rather different inputs this time any help? this is a cheaper brand but works for the occasion
Don’t attach the hood to the vest. Just wear the vest over everything.
im curious because i plan on doing the same thing sooner or later… why shouldn’t he attatch the hood to the vest? is that not how it was in the movie or is it just a pain?
wayno, no,the screenused vest had a costumized hood attached to it…i have done that wih the vest i have now and im gonna do it with this one…
to your defense however some of the backups were just black jackets with hoods and the vest with no hood
weathering tips would help though
I used some sort of vinyl spray on my vest. I tried Rit dye and it did not want to stay on because of the material it is made of it depends on what the vest material is made of. I attached a hood to mine because of the layer situation. There are a lot of layers and it makes it way easier and more comfortable. I just can tell you is when you spray the stuff is to wipe it, let it soak a bit then wipe it again. It’s way more easier to get the look you want. It was a green dickies jacket for the movie but Carhartt makes one thats very similar I am probably going to get the Carhartt hood for mine and redo that part the rest I am happy with.
get the carhartt JACKET hood…its much better IMO an more screen accurate for stitching…the SU vest hoodie was costumized…cutting the sleeves and adding the hood…the hood wass removed from most jackets…BUT some jackets still had the hood…look right in this pic he blatently does NOT even have on the hoodie and the hood is attached to the jacket on this one
