OK guys this is the point where I am done with collecting
Not because I have a collection I am happy with I have just finaly reached the breaking point of what a person can take in this Hobby . I am not gonna give no names or anything but I have been waiting on some stuff from 4 people (Two of them are still cool in my Books and I guess I will give one name ah hem hem MR JAMES CARTER ! You rock buddy and keep on keeping on with your skills and conversions ) but once and if I finaly get it straightened away with these folds I am still done . I am keeping what I have and there is a deal I am going where I am trading a texas chainsaw massacre saw which im still doing if the member who I am doing this with reads it you know who you are but I am not waisting anymore money on this hobby . Now I dont think its a waste of money but I am getting sick of the shit on the boards and mostly getting dicked around by some people who I am owed stuff from . I usualy dont complain but well ya can only take so much and I even know right now is a harsh time for the hobby and the site and this probley isnt needed but O well .All I got to say when it comes down to people being owed stuff and shit your only the victum in my opinion if ya give up do what ya gotta do to get whats yours . But hey I am still gonna be posting here and some mask and costume pics just this is it for me for buying . Anyway thanks to those who took the few mins to listen to my whining and have a good night fellas

man honestly I still dont even got nothing againts Josh I know you are all sour againts him and got good right to be and yes he is part of the reason I am done and I still got faith to get my stuff from him . I am not getting in on it about the other situation because the person isnt even on the boards but he was the straw that really snapped the camels back in half here . man it sucks your getting jerked around like that. This hobby seems to be getting full of scam artists lately. But there are some great mask makers out there like you mentioned James Carter (JC_70), and Tommy (myers04) are great people to deal with.
I feel your pain your having,I am getting down right shitty at some shit that is been done to me lately.I am very close to naming names on who is jacking me around.There is too much bullshit and it needs to stop if not then I will have to pack it in and leave mm.net.Itās not like I am needed here anyway so the hell with it.There are far too many people coming on mm.net as noobs and get to do what ever they want and say what they want,and to top it all off there 12 years old and full time movie critics wearing scooby doo underwear, this doesnāt go for all of the teens on the site because there are some intelligent ones on here.I need to be a mod and clean this shit up with a quickness.These new people can say what they want buttttttttt if I say something off color it is deleted or MIA.Itās tuff being a girl on this site because nobody takes things I say right because I am a girl.I think the mods try hard to fix problems on here but there is not enough mods on here.Can we think of a way to quit putting phones and barbies and non related horror shit forsale in the classifieds so other people can sell shit that is myers or horror related at least.Tell these members there is a craigslist Okay!!! If you donāt like what I am saying then delete me from this site and I wonāt come back.It is time that these problems get addressed and dealt with before there is no respectable site left to come to.I donāt know about anybody else but I care about my feedback from the forum,I panic when I am running behind on making cases or canāt get someoneās order out quick enough.The member JAMESAZRAEL has been very patient with me because I am waiting on a light for his case and am having a heck of a time getting it,I think itās coming by horse from japan.I donāt want to let people down and I care bottom line. These people that are screwing members out of masks and money are making it hard to sell anything anymore and I donāt know what we can do to stop itā¦I have IMO a beautiful Luny and have had it sold 4 times now and no one will come through and actually pay for it, do you know how frustrating that is??? Iām very new to the mask collecting community, but I really feel the need to say something. How did this hobby get so corrupt? Seriously? People are taking these masks way too seriously and good members are getting scammed all over the place. There is so much drama, this place is like high schol or one of those crappy reality shows on VH1 or MTV. And plus, posts get deleted for no good reason.
Whateverā¦there are still a lot of good people here and a lot of trustworthy maskmakers out there, underneath this melodramatic layer of corruption.

But I try to watch who I deal with and make sure that they are upstanding individuals and keep my fingers crossed. Even some people that I thought were good and honest has really let me down. Oh well, I love this stuff that I do and always try to be fair and HONEST!

As everyone knows James and in my opinion your probley the most stand up guy In my eyes out of all the people on here and I only dealt with you once before in getting a knife . I asked about conversions lots of times man and ya always answered my questions . For this site most importantly you have made alot of peoples dream come true of what the āHEROā is to them and how they invision it . You da man James Carter said it before will say it again idbe more then glad to buy you a brew if I ever had the chance and heck I would even scrap and paint dem walls for ya ha ha
i hear you man. I think iām pretty much done collecting as well, and like you, my ācollectionā is by no means complete. Itās just that going through negative experiences arenāt worth it (the stress, worry, anger, and even shame - bottom line, itās unhealthy).
yet iām still here. for a long time this was my home on the internet, so i still have a place for it in my heart (a smaller place, now). Iām back selling and buying on evil bay. If something goes awry there with a transaction, at the very least youāll have someone at ebay/paypalās customer service to yell at and let that frustration out.
Amen to that, there is nothing worse than someone who you thought bought your item, then completely disappears and then in my case sends me a pm about another item they want 3 months later like nothing happened. I feel like we need buyer contracts nowadays just to make sure we sell our item. And i agree about all the new people signing up. I have nothing against new members but there is a point where it just becomes ludacris.
Just an Idea for the Mods, have you ever thought about only opening registration for about maybe 3 or 4 times a year like the Replica Prop forum does. That way you reduce people just joining to buy, and it also gives the newer members a chance to get aquainted and learn the goods without 25 different people joining a day selling stuff off.
buying an item or sending money for a āproject in the worksā only to have the mask maker or seller take off is worse. Because your money has been stolen and will never be refunded. If you sell something and the deal doesnāt go thru, then you really havenāt lost anything (except time).
Very true, i lost money to a member named slasherhouse for his part 3 jason mask in the works and he completely disappeared. My last message is still waiting in my outbox dated 2007.

I hear you bro. But I truly believe ā¦ You can leave the hobby but the Hobby will never leave you. One thing is for sure this forum is no different than any other forum. What I mean by that is there are crooks everywhere and M-M.NET is not immune to them. I will say that I have been very lucky to make some very good friends around here (you guys know who you are) And everyone I have ever purchased something from HERE has been a stand up guy and I got my merchandise in a timely manner. Call it luck if you like. Personally I like to purchase things from people that make it a point to be a part of the community and contribute to threads and are visible. You can tell the guys that are here ONLY to make a buck as their 51st post is in the CLASSIFIEDS I wonāt name any names publically because I have more class than that but I have even received nasty PMs from a very popular artist asking me if James pays me to compliment his work so much. (JEALOUSā¦ I donāt know) The nerve of some people. Anyway , I donāt have all the answers either but I do know I love HALLOWEEN and MICHAEL MYERS and I try not to let the bad elements around here ruin it for me. I know itās hard but it is possible. As for mods not doing enough around here well itās gotta be tough to moderate everything that goes on around here and they do have lives outside M-M.NET. I hate it when threads get deleted too but they must feel strongly enough about deleting so itās a judgment call. One thing I believe is that a MOD should always remain NEUTRALā¦ For instance they shouldnāt show favoritism toward their favorite artist by deleting constructive criticism others may have made towards their work. Hey itās tough job to be a MOD and I for one wouldnāt be able to be that NEUTRAL. I will leave you with this. I honestly feel the GOOD outweighs that BAD around here and this is still the PREMIER place to be to enjoy all things HALLOWEEN and MICHAEL MYERS. Take care , Mike
I think most of us here know where youāre coming from. Iāve been robbed once on a Freddy glove by Ken Hastings and am in the process of being jerked around again by Josh (Starjerk) on the now infamous H1 Clown Mask Project. The awful truth is that you simply donāt know who to trust anymore. The list of artists that I have absolute faith in is shrinking by the day. Iām at the point that I donāt hesitate to leave negative feedback anymore . . . itās one strike and your out. If you screw me then I will tell everyone who will listen all about it and do everything in my power to steer business away from you. Iāve had a few hobbies over the years, but none has been so morally vacant as this one. I almost wish I didnāt love this stuff as much as I do.

I havenāt been on the board for 2 years consistently until just a few months ago and now it seems like all the sales have gotten more corrupt. Terry, I mean, Terry from CGP ripping off his customers. That I did not expect, I just bought a warlock from him 2 years ago. Just recently I was in a trade for my mask but the guy (not listing any names) who was alot newer to the board than me, a four year m-m.net veteran, asked to post a thread inquiring about peoples deals with me. That probably wouldnt have happened before all this occured.

You go on because the art we collect is amazing and most people are good. When you DO get fucked though it stings badā¦especially depending on how much your loss is.
Nowā¦lolā¦has anyone here dealt with MMFX in the last year? I ordered two F13 bustsā¦about $800 that I paid late February 09. I got a few emails from Bob saying they were almost done now nothing since June. Ive heard he takes a whileā¦anyone else here waited a long time for an MMFX item?

MMFX will take forever, have excuses for everything and will not answer your emails unless PayPal is mentioned. If you buy anything thru eBay with him you will receive your item in the 45 days (or right up to) but if you order thru him direct, itās gonna take a whileā¦4 to 7 months with BS excuses.
I bought 2 Jason busts from him, one off eBay and one thru regular email. The eBay one I received up to the 45 day grace period with PayPal and the other, took about 5 months when promised 2 weeks. I might add, both were inconsistent paint jobs with each other. I wanted a regular Part 3 and a bloody Part 3 undermask; one was bigger and painted more correctly and the other seemed rushed and smaller. Absolutely the worst money I have ever spent in this hobby for consistency and maskmaking skills.
I too agree a MOD should be neutral on this board. One āModā is unrelenting on taking sides, bumping his own threads near the top with āthank yousā and pushes the hell for certain artists. I believe if you want to be like that, you should NOT be a MOD.
