What did you love about Halloween 3?

I really did like the H3 masks an how they had a great Halloween look and vibe too them.
Dick Warlock playing a Sinister robot too was pretty sick too, the way he pulled that Drunks head off like a stem from a apple. Give me the shivers…ehhh!

H3 for me bud was a great movie! I loved the ideas and story behind the masks and the factory. The only thing I despise about this movie is that it should have literally been called ‘Season of The Witch’ and NOT ‘Halloween: 3 - Season of The Witch’. This name messed the entire franchise up and most likely lost a lot of Halloween fans because of it. Either which way, great movie!

I have to agree, I know everyone says it but I believe its very true that if you took away the Halloween 3 part of the title, and just had season of the witch, this would’ve been more successful movie. Personally, it’s sort of grown on me, and I really love the dark, creepy, eery atmosphere of it. The musics not too bad either

I really enjoyed it. As far as calling it Halloween 3 goes, I thought Halloween 1 and 2 finished that story line nicely with Loomis and Mikey burning to death in the hospital so Halloween 3 was the next logical step to go in a different direction. I prefer it to any of the sequels that followed.

First I’d like to start off saying, I would have rather halloween 1978 be just a stand alone horror film with no sequels, not to say I don’t like halloween 2 I think it went very well to finish off the end of the night from halloween 1, so if they had to do a sequel then halloween 2 is fine, but if they had to make more I think an anthology would be best way to go, and halloween 3 doesn’t disappoint, it’s a great classic 80s horror film, if halloween became an anthology series imagine all the other cool ideas we could have had centered around halloween, that would be awesome. Also not to say I don’t like any of the other Halloween sequels because I do, halloween 4 and h20 being a good example but I still stand by what I said, the Michael Myers story line would have been more legendary if they didn’t keep milking the series and watering down the the movies one after another, sometimes making money isn’t everything even if people wanted more Myers, respect what the original did and give it more legacy, and create more original ideas is always the way to go in my book. Needless to say I love halloween 3

A lot of concepts. The masks. The Commercials. Some of the cheesy acting and bug face deaths. Dick Warlock walking around like a boss.

As a film, even though it gets a lot of love these days, isn’t very good. The big concepts just kind of fall apart and the ending is sloppy. It’s too action movie with the big guy running around that Stonehenge set. I think they should have focused on the kids and the masks more and had a better ending set piece to tie those themes together.

It’s a good candidate for a remake. Hollywood remakes classics that are perfect, when they should be remaking films that are flawed but have great ideas.

I really like H3, as others have said it should have been called “Season of The Witch”

Agree with alot of you guys…it should have been called Season of the Witch!!
The ending wasn’t all that great either!
But i really do like the movie and sure there is some strange times in the flick but i think thats what makes so good and creepy…especially that scene were the family is locked in the room and the mask kills the kid, snakes and bug swarming all overthe place! “Yikes…ehh” gives me the creeps for sure!! Stop flapping my gums here…lol it’s a reasonable film in my book!

The Halloween atmosphere and “the” song

This is one of the best pure Halloween themed movies out there imo. Lots to love about this movie. The atmosphere, the masks, the jingle, Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, Dick Warlock. I also loved the character Conal Cochran and the kills I thought were pretty gruesome. Overall I really love this movie and watch it every year.

Hah, just watched it last night, or perhaps this morning if you’re a stickler.

The score is amazing.
Cundey’s cinematography is amazing.
Dan O’Herihey as Conal Cochrane is one of the great villain performances. That scene where he’s explaining his motive while to Dr. Challis is one of my favorite scenes bar none.
Love that the story is tied to the roots of Halloween in Ireland (and an Irish actor playing the antagonist).
It’s weird, but the good kind of weird that helps it. Sure if some things were changed it could have been a really good more serious piece, but as it is it’s also fun to watch.
The scene where Little Buddy Kupfer becomes the victim of the mask+commercial is one of the most brutal scenes I can think of. That scene stuck with me even when I was going through my extreme horror phase.
Love the masks.
Tom Atkins.
Tom Atkins’ mustache.
The jingle.
Tomme Lee Wallace’s commercial voice overs “They’re fun, they’re frightening, and they glow in the dark”.
Has the Halloween atmosphere down pat despite the lack of autumn colors (has the series atmosphere/feeling down pat as well).
Has a great ending.
Has an excellent sense of dread.
Just overall has a great feel to it.

I really like this one.
The masks, the score, the acting, the creepy town with the factory, the framing with use of anamorphic lens ( 2.35 1 wide! ) you rarely see this nowadays.

Stacey Nelkin. Very cute…
I actually enjoyed that movie more than the ones after it.
Don’t really care for any of them after 3.
