What is Off About My Costume?

I got my TOTS Boogeyman Today and have been working on my coveralls. I test fit the outfit.

I’m not sure but it feels off. I’m not sure if the mask looks too clean or if it’s that I’m overweight?

I think it looks good in low light but in regular light it looks like fat guy wearing a cheap mask?

Do these typically look bad in regular light or is it just that I need a better mask and to loose weight so I have the tall lanky look?

I am happy enough I can be Michael for Halloween so not looking for anyone to console me. Trying to critically discern the issues so I can remedy them. Or adjust my expectations

Are you stating that is the problem or just laughing?

It looks good the way it is, the mask and coveralls. The setup looks good your not fat I wouldnt call it a fat myers Id says thats an intimidating myers. Its nice to see people using the proper green coveralls too

Myers masks in bright light almost never look good, it’s when it’s in darker lighting the details really pop. I think the TOTS Boogeyman actually looks great out of the box, the best mass produced H1 imo. I’m quite impressed with it. You have a good costume. You’d pull of a great H6 Myers too.

As been stated, these masks need to be taken in the correct lighting and angles to look good. Even the hero looked unremarkable in plain light close up

Seriously man? There’s no need for that kind of negative crap here.

For such a simple costume, bring Michael isn’t always the easiest thing to pull off. Remember, Nick Castle was thin and had a long neck. Just work on adjusting posture the best you can. Let your shoulders relax and straighted your neck up and back. Do what you can. Other than that, just have fun!

Nothing off there !
Once again, size and weight are NOT something you should care about here. None of us have absolutely the same size, weight, or shoulder width as Myers’ actors. But when we do suit up on Halloween night, man, we’re terrifying !
And you are too.

Go away ! Don 't need your kind on the forum!!

We all come in different shapes and sizes, and your version of the Myers looks has its own uniqueness that you should be proud of! It is intimidating, if I saw you in a dark alley I would scream like a little girl! Lookin good man :grinning:

I think it looks fine! If anything just style the hair on the mask a bit, looks a little messy.

Totally agree. It’s amazing how much of a difference a little hair work will do.

I was able to pull off a little hair magic just by brushing it to the right shape and adding a little bit of hairspray for a light hold.
Also, I personally think just a couple little spikeys near the ears are sufficient. To me, it makes it look more natural and less manicured.

I think it’s just posture. Everything looks fine

Looks great. If anything is off it’s just that the hair could use some styling.

Looks good man!! And like someone previously stated… you have an intimidating figure!! Style the hair and your golden homie.

Awesome thank you, everyone!

The costume looks fine. I’m a big guy myself so I get how you may feel. Like others said, as long as it’s intimidating, you’re good. I would try to keep a straight posture and nail down Michael’s movements.

If anything the hair. Try to arrange it a bit more film accurate. Everything else is a shape. Which is Myers.

Looks great! :pumpkin: :myers:

Costume’s solid besides just working the mask’s hair down a bit.
