Can you buy any kind as long as you let it set for a while for the adhesive to hold?

Any kind is fine. Just give it a day or two to adhere, and you should be good to go!!

Yeah, got to agree with ya bud, my personal favorite is the 3M brand. As long as you give it around 48 hours to set, the bond should be a great long lasting hold. Just make sure you clean the area real well with soap and water. Just make sure the area is completely dry and free of any dampness and debris before application.
