What is the history?!

Josh, how many of those 98’s with eyes do you believe are floating around out there? I can understand why Nick wanted that mask so badly. It in my opinion it helped create a near bang on 75 Kirk replica in the 75K. The 2K’s are more detailed but the right true eye is set a little low and it throws off the entire look for me.

More of a mystery to me is why DP changed to the 2nd version. In my eyes the 1st sculpt is vastly superior.

This thread is about me so i have to say something, and because the silly accusations continue i cannot put brain inside the heads of some people here, you claiming that i recasted the 98 shatner, can your eyes be open and see that the supposed 98 shatner is a 1975 captain kirk mask?with No difference of the original 1975dp ones?isnt that obvious???
Now give me one good reason,if i own the original 1975 captain kirk DP molds why to not use that as an advertisement?why to lie? This (98 shatner)original 1975 kirk mask wich was casted in the 90s has eyes, none of the 75 run stayed with uncut human eyes, that makes that mask even more rare than an actual 75 kirk of the 70’s.Why on earth to not recast or claypress or make a huge advertisement that i got this mask, and say i recast it and i sell copies? Also keep in mind to create a 101% accurate kirk is very easy thing for me,i prove that many many times.Thats my work for more than 12years now,im portrait sculptor and creature designer.
Right now i have in my hands Jay Allans remaining CGP mask of his old kirk, its not the best start but still a good base to recreate his old kirk,i announce it,and im doing it.Nothing under the table. Every time someone says here its the 98 shat, its the 98 shat!im getting more orders u dont understand that??i dont know what to do,to thank you or be upset with all this… seriously

God bless

Do you own that proto 98 Shatner, Nik?

What you think from my words?I do own though a 1975 kirk and a 1975 spock.

Can we see pics of your 75 Kirk sir?

No sir!

Aww c’mon Nik, just for shits and giggles sake. :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you saying that since you own that 98 Shatner proto you own a 75 Kirk?

Comparison pics don’t lie. I wish people would just fess up and quit the bullshit. Gary admitted to it, but he admitted to claypressing others’ work. A recast/claypress of a rare and unobtainable mask is accepted in this hobby, but passing it off as your own sculpt will cause much debate.

As far as the proto 98 Shatner mask, you don’t need to tell anyone you own the 98 proto mask. The guy who sold it to you already told a few people he sold it to you and it got out that you own it.

comparison pics dont lie i agree, here is the hero mask made by me  about jon dano comparison pics check how different the nose the overall shape and the neck are…

I see both sides of the coin here but Nik as a professional mask maker your attitude is well below par in professionalism.

i prefer to be proffesional in my work and unproffesional when i have to give answers to clowns.Since u judge whats good and bad, here is a pickle!tell me what is a good answer to give to false accusations,to bashing,to racishm because im not american and to hate because im better from their fellow mask makers?give me your lights, maybe you can tell me something smart…

Im not getting drawn into this debate in any way Nik,but here’s a nickles worth of free advice, why not be an allround professional when you have a business to run set an example to others aswell ive never understood the Jekyll and Hyde thing.

Maybe if you would just post pics of your apparent 1975 Captain Kirk mask, like asked, people wouldn’t be so apprehensive, Nik. You act so “holier than thou” and deny us any proof, like we don’t deserve it. But really, what you are doing, is making it look like you have something to hide.

Very interesting…I didn’t see the need for Sheriffs above post to get deleted.
