What is your opinion on the new Myers mask?

So we all know that the folks over at DP and Paper Magic Group are currently developing a brand new Myers mask that they claim will be worth our money. What do you guys think? Do you think it’ll end up like it’s predecessors. Or will it be truly unbelievable? If you haven’t heard this news yet, here are two links:

the mask looks very good for don post i just hope they dont crap it up

not bad…but why don’t they pay some of the top guys on here for there mold…I mean…they already know they’re out there…Hell at leat the mask would look right…of course we know that the weathering and paint job won’t be ANYWHERE as good as theirs…but that’s what repaints are for…LOL :slight_smile:

Don Post studios, famously known for their terrible attempts at Myers masks, will be doing the developing along with Paper Magic Group. I believe this mask will be rather acceptable though.

it looks more like the DP 08 than any movie mask. also looks like its lips are full of collagen. not as bad as most official masks, but i think “worth our money” is going a bit far.

I like the look of it. I plan on getting it. I want get an airbrush to add some weathering and maybe highlight the hair with some brown because it looked black in the pics.
I can’t really shell out all the money for an independant mask, so i think this new one will fit my needs nicely.

The prototype definatly looks good for a mass-produced mask. I just hope the actual mask that will be in stores will look this good.

im scared when they mass produce em the chins will all look off… from newest photo it kinds looks off but cant really tell till i see a finished store model

I don’t much care for the lip area of the mask… I will say that for something that’s going to be mass produced it’s not a bad looking mask at all.

that looks terrible like all the rest of the official masks except resurection. why cant they ust do it like the film!! its not the most detailed mask in the world ha. but still the best!

Personally, I don’t like it. Doesn’t really “capture” the look does it?

trying to get a commercially made michael myers mask to look good is like trying to send people to jupiter…its just not gonna happen…

Still not my shot of whiskey - but the sculpt is at least decent.

However, you guys remember the last Indiana Jones movie…& how South Park did a spoof of it? Yeah, that’s what I think is gonna happen to this.
