I photo-shopped this picture removing the painted on SSN eyebrows, and painted the molded in eyebrows beneath the original ones. Kind of Kirk looking now. My question is why they painted them above the molded in eyebrows.
i guess it probably was because most h4 masks seem to be also h1 and h2 masks and the eyebrows on them wouldnt match whats on the mask from h4 thats what i think
IMO they should have painted them where they were molded in. I like the looks of that mask a lot more. And it gives it more of an evil look. The original eyebrows are also teardrop shaped.
wait, are you referring to this mask specifically or the h4 mask itself? in the film, most of the masks’ eyebrows were painted slightly above the molded eyebrows. if you are referring to the mask you currently own, the eyebrows were painted that way for accuracy. not as a personal choice.
I see where you are coming from. They are high on the movie mask. My question mainly was why on top of molded ones? Why not retool them out and really make it correct. Also why paint them tear drop shape? That is not even movie accurate. I was saying having them lower makes the mask look meaner. I am not going to do that to mine, but I just thought it had an interesting look. It was a gag
nah, I understand. its certainly cool to see it from a different perspective. I just believe the reason some of the replica masks dont have retool the eyebrows is to stay closer to the movie masks and just paint them higher like the crew did.
NIK molded his eyebrows higher, as did Sam when they made the sculpts. Maybe it was cost prohibitive to do so. Anyhow, the lower eyebrows do make for a very interesting mean look.
