What other outfit would have worked???

I dont know if this was ever a topic before but I was thinking about this at work. In JC’s H1 Michael snagged the Coveralls from the Phelps Mechanic. Lets say that never happened, what other outfit do you think Michael could have worn and we still would have been scared shitless of him??? I know it sounds a lil out there but I was thinking what if he wore his hospital gown and the mask throughout the movie, would it have worked do you think? This is just an idea from me, I wanna know some other outfits that you think Michael could have worn with the mask! :smiling_imp:

well that hospital gown idea is kinda funny I don’t think it would have scared me hahaa

I can’t really think about anything else other than coveralls because the mask with-out a collar looks kinda weird

I think coveralls were the perfect choice, I dont know what else would have worked. Its kind of hard to say, weve seen him in coveralls for so long its kind of how people think of him and expect him to look.

I hated the “hobo” myers in H2, it just didnt work for me.

I like to think that Michael was intentionally looking for a mechanic to kill. Think about it…he had this whole night planned out thoroughly in his head. He knew he had to sneak around in the shadows without people seeing him, so dark coveralls that conceal most of the body is the perfect choice. Of course, you could always argue that him picking out a perfectly white mask to wear would cancel out this theory. As for that, I believe that it was a decision made for aesthetics more than logic. An expression-less, vaguely human, and ghostly white mask makes for great horror and dramatic scenes. Plus, it’s essential to pulling off some of the scares (like when the mask materializes behind Jamie Lee before he stabs her arm).

So I think Michael always had dark coveralls in mind, and if the poor old Phelps truck driver wasn’t there, he would’ve found another way to acquire them. If all else failed, he may have gone with a clown costume. It makes sense, considering he commited his first murder while wearing one, and in the movie he basically carries out that murder over and over again, at least in his twisted mind.

If you ask me, I think anything would have worked. To me, that mask was the main focus, but, the coveralls were no doubt a great choice. Good post!!
