Most likely for the fact that it was originally meant to be the H1 back in 2014. They just moved it over to their H1 license.

Plus the Kirk would require the factory to cut out the eyes, and I personally would not have faith in a mass production factory to cut out those Kirk eyes properly.

I don’t know, I am just throwing theories out there.

Probably trying to avoid making another new mold to pull from, so just reusing stuff they already have that the factory is used to producing from.

No clue though. But I would say it’s most likely because they originally wanted it as their H1 a few years ago. Now they can use it as such.

Yeah probably. But they could use the creep mold. The eyes are already molded that way.

It looks like a quickly molded shat or psycho with some weird mods done to it, like that odd damage on the cheek.

I bet we see an H1 from the creep mold down the line at some point. Maybe in a year or two.

The Elrod was always an H1 mask marketed as an H2 because ToTs didn’t have the licensing rights to H78’s masks when they introduced them. Wouldn’t surprise me if this is just the Elrod marketed as an H1 now

yes it makes sense, if they also offered a larger size it would be great news for those who seek for an H1 for cheap

Actually the newer Elrods are not very small. They must have enlarged it at some point

well I need a 24,5 at least, so I don’t know if even the newer Elrod would fit me :smiley:

Yeah good point. I think it’s probably around 23.5” I think. Someone else could probably confirm or deny that

I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept the same size of the Elrod, I’d still like to see how it’d look in person

I wouldn’t get excited just yet - the Elrod hair and paint also looked fine in the catalog photo, plus if it’s the same mold it will still be too small. Will wait til someone has one in hand.
