Which Trick or Treat studios Myers mask is most accurate to the mask used in Halloween 1978?
I would say the kirk when converted but unfortunately they stopped producing them. You might be able to find one of them somewhere but otherwise I’d say a boogeyman or tramer when converted. The TOTS 78 never really looked all that accurate to me alongside it being 4x the size of my head.

Not really too sure, like 26 inches I think. About the same size as their H2.
The 78 is accurate to how the Hero looked when worn by Nick Castle, the look known as the Castle Stretch.
The Kirk would be the ideal base, but as TOTS has stopped producing them, that may be an expensive option, unless you find a good deal.
The Boogeyman is very accurate to the look of the mask when not worn by Nick, for example, the closet scene. The Tramer is also a great mask and very accurate.
I have a large head and love the Castle Stretch, so the 78 is my favorite TOTS mask. It’s become trendy to bash it over the last few years, but you won’t find a better sculpt at that price point. A simple rehaul can make it even better. I’m partial to Nick Mulpagano/Handiboy’s rehaul, but that’s me. He will also do a rehair for a reasonable price that will fix the hair and the hairline.
All in all, I don’t think you can go wrong with the 78, Boogeyman, or Tramer. They’re the best mass-produced Myers masks on the market.

You can order a Shat blank from Justin for $200 bucks. Yeah it’s a longer wait but definitely worth it in the end in my opinion!

Their H1 mask is okay, but not very accurate even for a worn mask. Like mentioned above, their discontinued Kirk mask was the most accurate they offered, being the same sculpt as the NightOwl Shat/Creep mask, which itself was retooled from a DP 1975 Kirk cast.
From their current catalogue, the Boogeyman/Tramer mask is their current most accurate mask. It’s from the NightOwl Psycho mold, which itself has DP 1975 Kirk lineage.
I say the captain kirk mask is best, Its discontinued I think but I got mine on ebay, its the nightowl creep mask unconverted
What makes the Kirk/Creep more accurate to the Boogey/Psycho? Genuinely wondering since they looks pretty similar to me with the exception of the boogeyman looking a bit more bug eyed, are there some finer details that are missing from the boogeyman?
Better sculptural tooling and, as you pointed out, the eyes. The Psycho, like many of Justin’s earlier masks, has sculpted in eyes. The Kirk/Shat mold has the Kirk eyes, and the eye cuts can be tweaked for better accuracy. The Creep also has more accurate eyebrows, and the option for a sculpted in forehead crease.
Oh yeah understood, I didn’t notice the forehead crease but now that I looked at it it’s definitely a big difference, the boogeyman has basically no detail there, I’d argue that even the cheeks seem a bit more prominent.
Hopefully TOTS will just not get rid of that mold but rather turn it into a regular myers mask
Yeah, those old NO masks always had the weird eye thing making the cuts poke outward. Very prominent on the Boogeyman/Tramer which totally ruins the look for me. The Kirk seems to be the way to go for accuracy. I had one done by MDF and he did a killer job on it. However, there have been a lot of not so good rehauls so you just have to make sure you find a good artist.
