I’d like to dress me up as a classic Castle or Warlock Myers but I’m unsure about what the perfect weight would be.
I’m lucky to being able to reach 6’0/6’1 with my Myers-like shoes on so the exact same height Castle and Warlock were too.
I’m currently 155 lb (70 kg) but I feel I could be even a bit more but I’ve read around the internet an interview by Castle where he claimed he was actually just 145 lb during shooting. What’s your thoughts about it?
Don’t worry about it. Nobody needs to body shame themselves to play a movie villain. Just dress up and do it
I know Castle was like 5’10 and about 145 pounds. I believe Dick was 5’8-5’9 and maybe slightly more than Nick in weight.
Just be your own weight and don’t give a fuck what people say
You sound fit and healthy. Don’t worry about being accurate height and weight. Accuracy in mask and coveralls over height and weight any day
600 lbs
Castle was 5’10" and 155
Warlock was 5’8" and 160
This. Cosplay is for everyone. I’m a good few inches taller than Warlock + about 30 lbs heavier, but I still do it. Doesn’t matter if you’re 300 lbs or more, cosplay is for everyone.
I’m 5’ 11" and 275lbs. I can’t cosplay The Shape until I slim down. I know there shouldn’t be body shaming, but for me as an individual, I can’t cosplay a character unless I physically can resemble them in some way. It’s the same story for why I’m not currently able to cosplay as Indiana Jones, my costume simply doesn’t fit anymore, as I bought it when I was a lot slimmer.
I used to be bulkier, but have lost weight, and I’m not tall in the slightest, but I still cosplay whatever character I like, the general population doesn’t care for accuracy being 100% either
Oh, I totally get that! And for other people, I have no problem with it at all, it’s just, for me, I prefer to do the character I cosplay as accurately as possible. This includes my weight.
Of density not obesity
I’m currently 181 pounds and stand at 6’ with boots on, I think it does the job
5-11 ish 145lbs 5-9ish 175lbs maybe. I guess if you’re looking to do cosplay it’s not law to stick with your own size match but I see where you’re going with it. I’m 6-3 so I stick with H40 H20 and RZ1.
I’d add that if you’re wearing a baggy coverall it really doesn’t make any visbile difference if you’ve more pounds than Nick Castle, I think height is more important, as long as you are around 5’11 or a little more you can even go up to 190 pounds and look great, you’d actually be more intimidating, especially if you’re buffed up.
I’m 6 3 and 175 Pounds Right now. Trying to get to about 190 before I do my RZ1 Look. I think I look damn scary as H2, H40 Myers and VS. Jason. People have called the cops on me before so I’d say I’ve got the looks pretty much down . It looks scarier if you got some meat on you. Just my opinion though. Do you though. As long as you are happy that is all that matters. So enjoy my man. This hobby should be fun and not add more stress to your life

Having fairly broad shoulders and a skinny torso is ideal for the body shape, because wearing any clothes can make you look bigger, but it really comes down to acting skill
