I hopped on here this morning to find that in General Discussion the latest thread is from 1/11. It’s like everything from the past two weeks has disappeared. And not to mention all of the spam that keeps popping up on here and the problem with our messages as well. Can we get an update on any of this?

I know Derek was looking to get rid of this place a while back. I hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for this place. That would really suck.
It seems like the site was reverted back to an older version or something. Maybe it was done on purpose to get it out of whatever state it was in? I think I remember them having to do that a while back as well. Anyway, I’m able to delete my PMs now though.
Yeah man, it even reverted back to my previous avatar and erased my messages
Noticed it this morning. The Halloween Kills thread had alot of posts deleted

I’m thinking it was. I remember at some point last year it was getting bad and that’s what they had to do in order to get it back to normal. Unfortunately it means current threads get lost among other recent things, but I would rather have it working properly so I can live with it. Just a shame though.
I noticed it, too. At first I thought it was me, so I logged out and logged back in, but it’s like everything has been erased. I even had notifications pop up that I’d already responded to.
What? Why would he shut down a place that’s been up since 1999? And has a lot of users?
He didn’t want to outright drop it, he wants to sell it to someone who will care for it and have the time to dedicate to keeping it up to date. It will be a pretty penny though because it comes with everything including the store business.
Hey guys, I sold the site in May 2019 but I’m still around. The new owners are on top of things and great people. There have been some forum issues but they are being worked on. Please stay tuned.

Thanks for the update. Hard to believe that you’re not running this place anymore. It seems strange. Glad you’re still here though.
Another thing as far as threads being gone: we’ve had a few spambots lately that were posting a ton so the owners likely just restored the latest backup from two weeks ago.
