What's the purpose of LL Cool J's character?

I wonder, what’s the point of him being in the movie?Usually, in such movies, you have a security guard to be killed. Doesn’t happen. Or maybe fight the killer. Doesn’t happen either. He only gets shot and reappears “victorously” at the end, saying that he’s going to write a romantic thriller. Kind of stupid, if you ask me.

No matter how you and other fans hate it, Busta Rhymes had a much bigger purpose in the next movie. He’s there to kick Michael’s ass and save Sarah. Sounds much better than what we got from LL Cool J.

My two cents. Don’t get me wrong, I like H20, but the more I watch these movies, the more I tend to think really deeply about them and nitpick the details.

They needed a security dude. I liked him 100x better than Busta

I actually forgot he survived  Not much memorable for me after H2 '81

I also like him more than Busta, but he does absolutely nothing notable in the movie. It’s as if he got “I’m totally useless” written all over him.

Haha! True with alot of these movies

Comic relief, that’s it

Well they needed a security guard as it was a secure private school. He served comic relief, and as a false Myers in the hallway. They were also banking on the Scream pop culture method and LL Cool J’s name, who was really big at the time.

I had absolutely no issue with his performance. I thought he did a fantastic job.

Agree
