Have you ever heard the story of how the H4 mask came about?
It was an accident and it was rushed and they had no time to make a new mask so they just settled for it and went with it. It works its still a white blank emotionless face with dark eyes like you said. I just wish the lips and cheekbones popped a little more H1 like, but its not the worst mask in the franchise imo. 5 and ressurection have the worst masks imo. 5 just looks ridiculous, Ressurrection it literally looks like busta rhymes face painted white 
Oh yeah, I’ve heard that. The H5 mask never really bothered me to be honest, it actually looks good in the barn scene because of the lighting I think. The Resurrection mask isn’t that great, but ironically, I think it looked pretty good in the scene where Busta Rhymes is wearing a mask and talking to Myers, again because of the lighting. My least favorite mask in the series is probably the Rob Zombie H2, because it’s only half a mask lol. I generally prefer the clean white masks, never really been a fan of the rotted look, though I do think the H18 and Rob Zombie H1 masks looked pretty good.
Before Kills rob zombies was my favorite mask! I wasnt a huge fan of the half H2 mask but i did like the shot up ripped side before it got completely ripped off by the chick in the strip joint. I prefer the clean white H1 look too but i thought the 2018 and kills mask looked pretty badass they grew on me quick.

Carpenter did not want to have Halloween just be Michael Myers, he wanted an anthology series, and Halloween III would have been that. And even outside of all that, HIII is a good movie. Idk, just my thoughts, and for those I haven’t listed, I have not seen them recently enough to remember most of it, or wasn’t a fan of them to begin with.

I can dig that. I just remember being a kid my grandpa would take me and my cousins to blockbuster and we always rented a halloween movie. At least til we seen them all. I remember getting to halloween 3 and i was so mad i was like wtf is this where is michael myers is this halloween 3 or was there another movie in the case?! When we went back to blockbuster i remember i told the guy hey this is not halloween 3 there has to be a mistake here the wrong halloween movies in this case, everyone who worked there starting laughing there asses off at me. I’ll never forget it, the guy was like i wish kid i wish but the truth is michael aint in halloween 3 its a seperate movie lol i was dumbfounded. Then he recommended 4,5,6 and H20 for my “myers needs” lol ever since then i never watched halloween 3 ever again i was about 9 years old then lol i kinda felt the same way in Halloween Ends it almost took me back to that time. Halfway thru the movie i was like who tf is corey and wheres michael?!?!
Not to make this thread into yet another “ewww, Halloween Ends” thread, but yeah, that’s the problem with ends, and they made it worse. With three, at least it was MEANT to be a standalone film, separate from Myers; with ends, they tried to do that but still keep Michael in it, which just totally killed the movie.
But yeah, that’s where a lot of the HIII hate 100% comes from, since it’s always been referred to as “The one without Michael”, just remembering the time you saw Michael wasn’t in it.
Yeah thays how it is for me i guess, but if Halloween 3 wasnt called halloween and i wasnt expecting michael i would probably like it. I gotta re watch it i guess i only seen it once at 9 years old lol

These, imo, are the good ones. All the others - 5, Resurrection, the Zombie movies and Ends - are varying degrees of not good.

I haven’t ignored them, growing up I’ve watched the whole franchise countless times, and I’ve seen the new DGG trilogy (which I tried giving a fair chance with an open mind, at the end of day just didn’t work me that much)
So I just felt like ranking the ones that actually still have enjoyable rewatch value for me. Even if I had ignored watching the ones I didn’t rank that’s not what ignorance is, it’s only a subjective opinion.

I never count Halloween III as, to me, its not a Halloween film. I treat it as a completely separate entity entirely. For me, if a movie is to be called “Halloween”, it has to have Michael Myers. Simple.
