When did you realize

That the Halloween mask was a converted Captain Kirk mask? Before the internet back in '86 or '87 was when I bought my “The Mask” from Sears. It was about $35.00 and I was so happy to have it. I saw William Shatner sometime after that on some late night talk show and they brought that up. It suddenly hit me…OF COURSE!!! I could totally see it at that point. I grew up watching Star Trek re-runs, I always sub-consciously had it connected but just never put it together. Now me being 40 years old of course we didn’t have the internet and instant knowledge at your fingertips through google and wiki and all that. I hope the kids of today can appreciate how lucky they are with all of the advancements in the last 20 years.

My Don Post has since turned into “crapface” and life has started to pick up speed like a roller coaster on the down slope. I am unemployed but at least I only have myself to worry about, I appreciate all the people on this forum who are friendly and take their time to answer questions (even if they are from some newbie to the hobby) and post their costume pics and so forth. Once I am back and making money I am planning on getting a H78 from NAG and also a CGP Warlock from the classifieds or a possibly the Cryptco version from them.

I check in pretty much every day to see if there is any new Halloween info I can glean and of course to see the latest pics and hear the latest news. Thanks for the great site everyone.

That’s when and how i found out,I remember back in the late 80’s early 90’s, seeing him on talk shows and they would joke with him about that.Honestly i remember him (shat) acting very un-humble about it, like wanting to change the subject and laugh it off.
