I whole mess of white latex paint for cheap???


or can I just mix acrylic white with like a gallon of latex???
for an airbrush

you will have to thin it and mix it super well.

I know if you mix acrylic with latex you need to thin it with distilled water so it can flow through the airbrush. It has to be pretty thin and will take more layers. If there is to much latex it won’t spray and will just latex up the tip so you will have to take it apart alot of times and clean it each time. Mine kept doing that then finally found the right mixture of water/acrylic&latex for my cheap airbrush more water less paint mix. But I think it depends on the brand of the airbrush.

I got 10 gallons of latex comming and white acrylic is cheap as hell

can I thin it with ammonia or does it have to be water???

I just started airbrushing today so its all new to me

I use ammonia .I like it better than using water.

hi you want to be using a 50/50 mix u will need to mix

liquid latex and acrylic water based paints together i use the DECO ART paints these are perfect but u can use any u like
fill half of the airbrush glass jar with latex and then the other half with the acrylic paint
mix this up then pour it into a cup or other small container, now u will need to thin it down
with ammonia i find that ammonia works better than the distilled water probably becuase the latex is ammonia based
then mix it all up good so its all mixed together u want it to be about the thickness of milk it can be a little thinner u dont want it too thick
then it will spray perfectly in you airbrush hope this helps :smiley:
