Where do you guys see our hobby heading after Ends?

Ive been around here since 2003/2004 as a lurker, and Ive noticed the uptick in interaction come up insanely when new movies are coming. (RZs and this new trilogy) but since 2018 there seems to have been a new re-hauler emerge every other day, or someone working on a project to cash in on the hype.

In your opinion, how long do you think it’ll take for all this hype to die down after Ends or has the new trilogy bred alot of new fans? To clarify its certainly not a bad thing at all, theres so much talent thats emerged and you have so many choices of things now vs the old days. The market is insanely saturated at the moment

I tell ya one thing I’ve noticed, and I’ve been here as long as you or longer and the asking price for some people for masks has reached ludicrous levels in excess of $1500. Then when you ask about specifics of the mask they get offended if you don’t buy it and insult you lol. I would so love to screenshot that conversation but I have more class than that. The hobby is definitely in interesting territory.

I think it gets super hype around ends, then dies off a little starting next year, but then you know a 50 years movie is GOTTA be coming in 2028, and the fandom starts all over again, but we will be here the entire time :joy:

I think it’ll be the same as it is now, won’t see many changes, if so, very small

It’ll become a bad trend, so once these films die off, all the stuff will go dirt cheap/ be limited, like the Star Wars Sequel Black Series merch, some fetch crazy prices, but you can get a steal too

I was thinking along the same lines. I see the wide range of artists you have doing repaints to just disappear into half off what they are or less. I think the value of things will go down as well. Wait times will drop significantly, If the Friday the 13th thing comes to light like the rumors say…Crash and Auz are about to be swamped.

It’s all over social media more than the website, seems like the forums stay pretty normal for the most part, but social media goes crazy with posts and fan pages and projects and rehauls.

It’s got more fans now so I guess not too much. Some of the new fans might drop off but overall the number has grown. Prices will drop imo after demand slows down. But in general the fans just have more films now to choose from. Look at Friday the 13th. No new recent film but the fans are huge numbers still.

back to normal hopefully

I imagine the bandwagoner fans will drop off, and we’ll probably see a significant drop in the number of “rehaulers” in general, but the base will stick around. I’ll just keep doing what I did for the 7 years before H18 came out, and keep on collecting horror stuff and taking pics.

It’s like that with every hobby I have noticed…Not just Myers…Myers masks always go up in price in august and September into October…and with a Movie coming out …more demand …it will calm back down

It’s actually due to the bombshell of a game, that’s why the numbers increased

This sounds about right.
