Now I’ve seen it twice I’m certain the new movie is my favourite sequel, so this is how my list goes now.
NB I’m not including h3, only the Myers films
Hmmm not sure to be honest. But, I can’t just erase all the history of the films just because they made a new one. So I’ll post it by “time line.”
Strode trilogy - H1,H2,H20 ( I’m not counting resurrection in that. H20 ended perfectly.)
H40-H1,H18
Thorn- 4,5,6
And then season of the witch.
As far as the other movies go, I didn’t mind remake of Halloween, but the second one was out there. And resurrection just plain sucks. 5 is another one I don’t like as much.

Resurrection
I think that is more than fair. Other than Halloween II’s original sister-brother arch, I love it because the first two kind of feel like one long film. That being said H40 was fantastic, it really did it for me and was well worth the wait!

I absolutely loved the new film and by far think it’s the best conventional sequel to the franchise with Michael Myers, that being said though it doesn’t reach the level of the original nor replace my love for the immortal SEASON OF THE WITCH.

Very hard for me to say, but after 2 viewings I have it either directly after the original or right after H2. I liked it much more than it seems many did. He really exonified evil in this one and I loved almost every single scene

Halloween 2 and Halloween 4 are very close to me, and remember I dont have nostalgia for these movies other than the first as i watched that when i was 6 or 7 many many times. I liked the h4 mask but didnt think it was effective, and I hated the hockey pads. Not a big fan or George’s portrayal either.

I despise RZ Halloween’s…not on any list
It’s not better than H1 or H2.
I need to see it more though.
I would be very interested in having you describe why you like number 3. There isn’t anything cooler than hearing someone talk about their favorite Halloween movie. Thanks.
For me personally I’d have to say it was the strongest sequel we’ve gotten. Given the fact that John Carpenter’s Halloween ranks at #1 on my list, I just might give Halloween 2018 the second place spot. With Halloween 2, and Halloween 3: The Season of the Witch followed closely.
Dunno about the rest of you, I almost want to (Just for my own shits and giggles) keep H2 apart of the now H1-H2018 Canon story. Maybe pretend in a weird way that the events that took place were some kind of trauma, and drug induced (administered by Dr. Mixter) nightmares of sorts. Im sorry I gotta have my Opening Pumpkin Credits all together here haha.

I should make a note that while most of these are bad movies, I thoroughly enjoyed all of them except for Resurrection. This is also my list according to my favorites, not too how well I rank them as movies, although it’s not too far off from that. And unlike most, I appreciate the RZ films thoroughly.
