Ok, so this is my first post so excuse me if I post this in the wrong place. I’ve found myself in a bit of a dilemma. A couple of months ago I ordered a Madman78 blank from blackjak99 on Ebay and I’ve just about finished painting it (pictured below) I also bought Nick Mulpagano’s “How to Make a Captain and a Killer” DVD and have been following the information in that. So now that I was nearly finished I ordered mohair from coppermoose.com which is what many people have recommended. But yesterday with only 15 days left till Halloween I received a refund telling me that they no longer sell mohair and had meant to remove the order page. So i’m kind of panicking. I’m going for a Halloween 2 look with the mask and wan’t the hair to have a blonde color to it, so I don’t really want to get camel hair. So I’m thinking I can either order a couple braids of crepe hair from Ebay or Amazon, or just give up on having the hair be blonde and order some camel hair. Unless any of you know a different website in which I can order mohair from. I’ve accepted that I’m probably not gonna have the mask finished in time for Halloween and I defiantly don’t want to rush through hairing the mask and risk ruining the whole thing. Thanks to anyone who can give me advice on what to do.

Not really sure how much 1oz of hair would cover, but maybe someone with more experience will chime in.
Personally I would not buy locks of hair. Search ebay for mohair roving and buy one of those. IMHO roving is much neater to dye and handle prior to applying to your mask. If you’ve never done any hairwork buy extra. I’d say at least 4-6oz. good luck!

If you have any local hobby shops that specialize in dolls (a doll shop basically; not a Michaels/Hobby Lobby/A.C. Moore) they will often have hair of different kinds.
