I love my H1 Shat JC did for me back in 2013 but am on the fence as to what to send him as my name should be coming up in the coming months. I have the 98 proto in mind but definitely would love to see any recent conversions JC has done for you guys. H1 or H2 masks! Just want to see some of his more recent work and any suggestions for your favorite mold are definitely appreciated 
Tough call. I don’t have any photos, but I’d recommend going what you have the less of. If you’ve got a number of H1s, go for the H2. Honestly, though, you can’t go wrong with either.
The H2s that he’s been posting on the facebook group have been amazing.
Here’s a 98 Proto James did up for me last summer . My favorite mask I’ve ever owned. . Even over 75 Castle , which I own as well.

Hard to go wrong with the 98 proto from Jc, although I think any h1 or h2 he does he knocks out of the park. Hell the Elrod he just did doesn’t even look like a tots. I say go the 98 proto route or maybe the new shape78 from Niko. You already have the best from Nightowl so I’d definitely stick with a nag this time around. I know you’ve seen my copy but it’s a more recent 98 proto from James.

Any of them brother! I mean I wish I could get my hands on a DB2 but I doubt that’ll happen so I’m considering the 98 proto, 75k Castle or possibly a NightOwl Shat or NAG 75k new mold if I go the H2 direction. The new sculpt from Nikos is great I just want to stick to a direct cast from an original Kirk.
The literal only downside to the 98 proto is the size. I wish I could rock it like Caleb but unfortunately the only H1 masks that have fit me well are my old H78 and the large Shat JC did for me. I love the 98 proto but am only leaning toward the Castle due to the fact it comes above 24.5’ while the proto looks closer to 23.5’. Tough choice for sure!
I’d go with which ever mask fits you. If that narrows it down to just a couple… then your choice just got a whole lot easier for you. JC will do an amazing job on anything you send him. But I would want the option to be able to wear it on occasion if it were me.
Exactly my thought process! The only masks I own that don’t fit properly are my first run 2005 Pshcho and Lunatic. They are more for the history of the hobby but I’m leaning toward a 75k Castle just so I am able to take worn shots on occasion. Maybe a miracle will happen and Nikos will decide to make a large 98 proto sculpt

Yeah I’d go with the castle 75k for size then if looking for an H1, for an H2 I would do an old mold or another no shat like you mentioned.

Nikos makes a 24.5 inch 98 Proto. I have a large head and that’s the JC Proto I have and it fits me like a glove!
I think jc is at his best when you let him go all out with the weathering, and this is one of the best examples of that. Absolutely killer mask man!
