I’m not a huge fan of either actually, I always prefer the wearer just stretching the mask. It looks a lot more natural, but I would say out of those 2, the ID wins!
Thanks for the compliment, Caleb! That means a lot to me.
The photos of you in full '78 Myers are fantastic, by the way! Some of the best on here. That ID mask is unrivaled in capturing Myers from 1978. Can’t wait to here my number called.
Like who makes it? Is it just not a sought after mask? Is the wait time bad? Im just curious why you dont see very many. Cause the pictures in this thread sure so show how awesome it is. How is it not talked about anywhere?
The artist is James Mangrum. He’s a busy guy and the Sigmund Freud ID mask seems to be a passion project on the back burner. Also, his wait list is probably really long, but he keeps that under wraps. I think he had some family commitments (a close loss in the family) that took him away from the project for a while, too.
I just hope I hear from him soon. It really is the best mask available.
It’s a big thread that shows the original concept, all the way through to final production. Everything you want to know is in there.
The artist is James Mangrum, known as the Somnambulist on here.
James is making these in his free time. He has a family and life obligations that come first of course. I’ve been on the list for around 2 years now. As you can see, it’s definitely worth the wait.
I think it all depends on the scene you are going for. The hero takes many shapes depending on lighting, camera angle, etc. There is a mask for every look you want to go for. I think overall the Nag captures the bulk of the film best, but the “ID” certainly wins with the phone scene
