So between both versions of h6 (the theatrical and producers cut) which do you feel is better and why?
I’m gonna go with the producers cut because I feel that it provided so much insight on all the things h5 left unanswered.
666 all the way. I can’t remember why off the top of my head…just seemed more interesting. I’d have to watch them both again. I didn’t like the ending of producer’s cut though.
If there was one, I would select the ‘both’ option, as I’ve come to like each version equally.
The strange thing is, Curse was actually close to Resurrection and the Zombie films on my list of favorite to least favorite for years. It wasn’t until I got to see the Producer’s Cut in all it’s glory as part of the box set that I developed any really interest in H6 at all. At first, I of course preferred the Producer’s Cut because it was pretty different from the version most everyone had seen. But, somehow, after time, and alternating between the Theatrical and Producer’s Cut, I’ve found lot’s of aspects of each version that I prefer to the other.
I like the Producer’s Cut for being a more complete film but the whole “Jamie being shot in a hospital” was sorta out of place. Overall, I think I’ll stick with the theatrical version. Both ending bad anyway. But Halloween 6 had some great moments, mask, and feel. Still a favorite.
I think the H6 mask is my favorite after H1…followed by RZ masks. Seems like maybe the Producer’s cut has some better shots of the mask but I don’t have time to watch theatrical cut at the moment. Did H6 have multiple hero masks or just one?
Theatrical. The producers cut goes too far into the weird cult stuff that I think was less scary, interesting, but not scary to me. Score was off since they had to reuse old bits to fill in the gaps. The theatrical I like because it implies this cult was working parallel to Michael instead of directly controlling him. They have the last member of his family and he’s carving a path right to them.
The Producers cut at least had a more complete story…still had issued, but flowed much better and had less plot holes…even if the plot was abit over the top
Surprised everyone’s going with the Producer’s cut. It had even more of the thorn cult crap that I didn’t care for in the original. I think it would have been a great sequel if that subplot was cut out at the writing level.
I like bits and pieces of both, I like the Producer’s cut more over all, just like the end of the theatrical more as well as the lake of the Michael and Jamie incest angle.
