Today we have several options to buy masks that attempt to replicate any Myers mask from the nine Halloween franchise movies featuring Michael Myers.
Which look of Myers (be it Halloween I, Halloween II, Halloween 4, etc) do you think has been most accurately replicated?
While the part 4 is not my favorite mask of the series, I do think that the Damned '88 is undeniably the best part 4 mask. If you ask what’s your favorite H1 or H2, for example, there will be many different answers. So for that reason, I’m saying the Damned '88 is the most accurate representation of any Myers mask out there, just my opinion of course. Cool thread.
Great thread. I only buy H1/H2 and am VERY happy with the options available for those movies.
Whether its HMKS, MINT75S, 99s or 75Ks the choice for the first 2 movies is incredible.
I feel that the looks from the Rob Zombie films have been best replicated.
+1 Dela Torre’s work with the RZ masks have been undeniably supurb. Though, I also agree that the Damned88 is hella close to the H4 mask.
I think H4 has been nailed perfectly with QOTS Damned 88. It can’t possibly get any closer imo.

I agree. There’s some amazing looking remake masks out there. Even some of the custom “Escape” masks look amazing.

As I definitely agree with the H4 comments, I would also like to add the H6 laundry scene as I’ve seen some great mask from that scene. Props to Chris Morgan wicked red.

Due to Halloween and Halloween II being my favorites I WANTED one of those masks to be the one but in the end…they wasn’t. I think part of the problem is there are just too many looks for H1 and although H2 has had some VERY close replicas, the mask looks almost completely during some scenes than others. Sometimes a KHDW, sometimes a Warlock, sometimes a 75K/H4 cover mask/something else hybrid.
In the end I couldn’t narrow it down to one selection but rather two and it is basically what the overall consent has been thus far…Halloween 4 and Rob Zombie’s Myers have been replicated the closest. The Damned88 is H4 all day long and the Buried with good hair, proper eye cuts and paintwork is pretty much a carbon copy of the real deal.

H:20, H5, H6, and the RZH films each have multiple masks that are dead on accurate.
For H:20 you have the SSN and Hardin/QOTS KNB mask; the Morningside/Smith’s Grove, SSN v.1 which Hardin/QOTS does now as well, and SSN Durand for the Winston mask; and you have the SSN Curse for the opening scne mask.
For the RZH films there are so many accurate masks I don’t really know the names of them all off hand, but the Artifact and Della Torre masks are super accurate.
For H5’s applianceless hero you have the SSN Revenge, GP5, and Hardin/QOTS Revenge; for the Brute you have the German import Brute and SSN Brute; for the nose-mouth appliance hero you have the SSN Shanks and the Hardin-QOTS version.
For H6 you have the SSN Curse, the Nightowl small and large 6, the CGP v.1, Kreation X Kurse, etc. There’s also the SSN Six and Hardin v.1 for the re-shoot stunt mask.
These are pretty much all dead on accurate masks (barring botched hair or paint jobs) and there’s a bunch of them per film.
Honorable mention to Cinema Secrets for putting out a bunch of movie mold masks with the 1 of 1,000 to 1 of 15 versions. Honorable mention also to H4 which has two masks cast from the hero and a bunch of others that are very accurate usually due to being re-casts of a Kirk with diluted details which the H4 production masks may have been as well.
H1-2 I doubt there will be any true satisfaction barring the original Kirk elements being found and reproduced 1:1.
Honestly with as many good h5s and h6s out there i think they are the least bang on.and yes im even talking about my 2 as well…and its mostly bc noone can perfectly replicate the EXACT paintjob as what you see on the movies from years and years ago even though some come very close.it just shows how slightly diff paintups can make a mask look completely diff.Also its hard when theres so many diff “looks” in the films and several diff masks used on set…i would say the damned 88 probably is the best replicated so far bc its cast off screenused and scott completely kills the damn finish on em like everything else his hands touch
