How small would your Starkiller be compared to a creep 23.5" Creep, NMR H78 23" or other smaller Heros? Do you know the size of your mask, I can’t wear mine comfortably at all, and by at all I mean it’s miserable tight, but I think it’s around 23" and they’re all the same size aren’t they?
I don’t own one yet, but the 98 Proto test mold is the most accurate in my eyes, especially one done up by JC

I think the NAG 2K is the closest to the real deal for a vintage Kirk mask. The Somnambulist sculpt is probably the closest to a real Kirk structurally, but it’s stretched so it can really only do a Myers.

Here’s some scale… Creep, 99 Shat, Starkiller, KHSLE All larger than Starkiller ! ( It’s the facial features / size that is so tiny, more than the actual head size… )

Strange, doesn’t look like any of mine even though it’s the same mask…Especially the one I just purchased. Maybe it’s the hairline that makes the face look small compared to the mask? I wonder if the Starkiller from the Kirkus / the clay cast of the medely kirk Starkiller are different in size/detail?
Nope… the masks are aligned all the same… just use a ruler to measure on the screen, & you can see just how mini this mask is… I was shocked.
It’s definitely smaller, no doubt. It just never seemed THAT bad to me where all my masks are 23.5 and under. I have a Castle Stretch the same size as the Starkiller that is closest castle I’ve had, it just sucks to wear lol.
I think it’s more about facial size… the head area still has some room to wear, but the face is miniaturized…

I know it started as a face cast from the 1975 Kirk by Billy Kirkus, then was a clay cast of the Medley Kirk ( that’s probably where it lost it’s size and detail ) I don’t know if it’s all one mask or IF there are different versions throughout the process but there’s quite a few in the gallery here that look drastically different from the new ones (much larger face size and more defined details) the ones in the pics are what I’m referring to.

This is not entirely correct. Bry put the Kirkus kirk into the HMK mold to add the missing eyes. He then molded the face of that, apparently.
This Starkiller suffers from the same issues all of Bry’s recasts do. I don’t know how he did it but he really skewed the facial features. They tend to look good from the front, but when you view them from the side? They’re just… wrong…
As for the face seeming smaller than the rest of the head… I believe the owner of the mold resculpted it one time and enlarged it the other time. The one he resculpted just wasn’t done very well, hence the out of proportion features.
I’m not a Nik fan boy, in fact I’ve got a lot of shit I could say about that dude and the BS he pulls. That said, Bry’s recasts and the masks coming from them don’t hold a candle to the 98 from Nik. Has nothing to do with price or some imaginary cool kids club. Just pull up actual photos of the 75 Kirk and line then up. Not even a comparison.
I gotta say in terms of Kirk, 10/31 is the closest I’ve ever seen
The hmk, 2K, and 10/31 make my favorite kirks. The original KH/DW with a solid finish is probably my favorite h2. There’s plenty of solid H1 sculpts. I really like the mmk and 2K.
A good HMK copy overall.
I think the 10/30 looks closest to the Ackerman Kirk.

a little behind time wise, but couldn’t help but comment. I never understand the need for people to even act like there are better masks than NAG. Its not even close. The Nightowl mask is decent with a rehaul, but trash from Justin. That’s saying a lot too, cause Nik is pretty terrible at finishing masks as well. 90% of NIK’s sculpts paired with a finish from James Carter “tramples” any and all other Myers masks. Saying anything different usually comes from people who can’t afford them second hand or are too impatient to wait for an original.
