If you had a choice of getting a Psycho, which one would you want, and why?

Honestly,
For me, it doesn’t matter what label, I’ve seen EVERY single one that you named either in person, or in pictures.
I’ve seen old psycho’s look sweeter than new, I’ve seen new psycho’s look sweeter than old, and so on.
I’m all about the copy period. Proto, or non-proto as well, it doesn’t matter, the bottom line is the copy for me. Just my 2 cents… :stuck_out_tongue:

The SE by far! They have smaller eyes and I have had 3 in my shop to varify this. I would be willing to bet that some sculpted features are different too.

shoot, the psycho s.e. for sure thats hands down on mine. i have justin doin me one up now he calls a ‘classic psycho’ gonna be here VERY soon. actually since were on the subject, what do i expect outta the classic psycho? a 78 or an 05 style psycho? guess i dont really know but my money is on me being happy with it.

I’ve owned both the 05’ Psycho proto and SE proto and both are completely different creatures.

My 05’ proto was a FAR superior display mask, while my SE proto was the superior of the two with regards to costume pictures. When the chips are down on the table, my 05’ proto nudges out the knod.

Then again, not ALL 05’s, SE’s, 78’s, 81’s, etc. are created equally. Standout copies exist under every line, so I think that asking which line is superior to the next is to broad of a question to ask.

Nothing can beat a good 2005, but the others you listed are fantastic as well and I’d recommend owning one of each.

I agree with Kris and J-MAN.
It really depends on the pull,mold,and finishing.
Yea each run has their own look though no Psycho ever looks identical.
I basically do not see what all the hype is with the early ones. I have seen copies that do not interest me at all.
Seriously I wouldn’t trade mine for the world.

Back on topic…I want an 81 for now :mrgreen:
I’m waiting on an 09.

I have one of each on that list(actually I have two 81’s) except an 06 and I could not decide.Probably go with an 05,they are marvelous :smiley:

I have owned over 10 psycho’s & i have seen 3 psychos SE. To my preference, the 05 is the best…
All of them are good… but my vote goes to the 05…
I current own the psycho05 Proto made to the HMA!!!

Psycho SE,

They are all great masks, but I love the sculpt for the SE that Justin did. Psycho is an amazing mask.

There are tons of great copies of each style out there, but the smaller eyes and subtle differences of an S.E. do it for me.

Also, Erik & Kris’ copies are INSANE! :open_mouth:

For me it would be an early-run 05’ Psycho for sure. I used to own one that had so many little facial details and just screamed Shatner/Castle :open_mouth: . I really miss that mask :cry: :cry: :cry: .

Ive owned 3 Psychos. two 05 copies, and a 06 copy. Ive seen some SE’s in person and i have to say the 05 copy takes my vote. The psycho has always been my favorite mask!

I agree with you Kris, The copies do vary but like you said they are all different creatures and one just cant be selected. It has to do with the individual person and what they think they see as perfect for their own taste
