Chris Durand. He just felt way, way too different from the Michael we knew from Halloween 1 & 2. He also seemed to move a little quicker and robot-like rather than smooth stair down walk. I also think the way he killed his victims came off a little campy. I still think he did a fine job, but he just happens to be the worst in my opinion.
I wouldn’t say any of the actors did a bad job. I’m sure they followed the directors instructions to move like a robotic Frankenstein. However, if I had to pick the worst, i agree with everyone else basically. H4 and H20
Yer, Shanks really did a good job for what he was given. I actually think his Michael came off very dark and disturbing if a little bit much like Jason in some areas.
Shanks did do a good job! That laundry shoot scene…that was really nerving also knowing that Shanks was using a real butcher knife and Danielle could of really been stabbed if she would of moved a tad bit in the wrong area of the shoot. Damn Shanks is a pro…
I’ll have to revisit h5 after hearing this talk about it, I don’t remember much of michael from the film so i guess thats why i chose him to be a least favorite
Shanks was directed to give The Shape/Michael more rage and emotion, so that aspect was down to the director. Some of his movements were a bit off (hiding behind the tree when T-ah-ina and Sammy were talking outside), but I think he and the director of photography worked well together in a lot of scenes because there were some creepy slow scenes. I actually think Shanks’ walk as The Man in Black was more Shape like than when he played The Shape though.
My favorite performances are still the teams that made 1 and 6 as they had such menace to their movements and presence.
Chris Duran is the worst then the no name who played him in ressurection dick warlock is my favorite actor in the role he glides with with simple but none the less scary and evil smart 2nd favorite is George p wilbur for all the shit he gets he did a damn good job in 6 AND 4 and don shanks from h5 was awesome sure the movie needs fixing and most people hate the mask but its grown on me
Dick Warlock. Just too robotic and the whole look just doesn’t do it for me. H2 in general is a lesser favorite of mine. Although I love H4, I feel Wilbur was just as robotic as Warlock. However, his portrayal in H6 is one of my favorite portrayals from a body language standpoint. Much looser and more aggressive
