I would say Tyler Mane but then again I don’t even count the RZ Halloween Movies in my Halloween world.
A lot of people dislike George P. Wilbur H4 performance. I thought he done pretty dang good too be honest. Sure he had the Stiff, Robot movement going on but damn it was creepy as hell. When you think about it, Michael was laid out for ten years recovering from all that hell he went through in H1 and H2. He’s lucky too be alive! So his movement seems normal too me.
I thought George Wilbur did a great job, especially in H6 (the parts he was in, same for H4 when you count Tom Morga’s few scenes). In H4 they have some scenes with padding, which I’m sure hampered his movement (it did look odd). He didn’t really have any walk stalking scenes save for the stalk up the stairs in the Brackett house, and I think the slow movement worked there.
Can’t really count Mayne as he played a totally different character with the same name, also can’t dock points on Loree for selling for Busta Rhymes or Shanks for the tear scene and rage stuff as that was all what they were directed to do and it’s not like they had pull to overrule like Kane Hodder did for Jason. Given that it’s tough to say
Yeah I agree, I thought George Wilbur did great in H4. His performance seemed like a natural progression from the last time we saw Michael at that time, in H2 (Dick warlock), so I think it worked well, and of course it was a creepy performance. Who do I think is the worst? It’s debatable, but I gotta go with the guy who played him in H20.
Personally I think Halloween 4 was the worst. There are some scenes where I think Michael actually looks and moves pretty well but for the most part he’s completely robotic and not creepy at all in his movements. And that sucks because Halloween 4 is actually one of my favorite Halloween films.
H20 is my least favourite. I’ve said this in another thread somewhere but to me he felt more like a copycat killer who took his inspiration from michael myers rather than the actual guy from h1 & h2
George Wilbur’s performance in Halloween 4 was the worst for me. I never believed that he was The Shape. The mask and the shoulder pads just made things worse. His movements were borderline comical. The scene where he is on the rooftop is absolutely cringe worthy. The pick-up truck scene was terrible too. His performance improved a little in 6 but his body size was off.
Funny you mention that cause somewhere back a few years ago I read that the killer in H20 would not be Michael but…Tommy Doyle. Moral of story was Tommy went insane and lost his mind after his encounter with the Boogeyman and for whatever reason decided too go after none other than Laurie Strode. Tommy would dress as his favorite Boogeyman Michael Myers.
I agree!! He was the only one to get it right after Nick Castle. H4 was the worst Myers. I still think Wilbur done ok in the film, but it’s my least favorite.
