We usually wait until the last weekend of September before we decorate the home. Every year, we try to " out do " the previous. I’ve decided to get a head start this year and begin this Saturday because 4 weeks is way too short. Our Spirit store just opened but those prices seem to be always inflated. The Walgreens has a bunch of stuff for a lot less money, decent stuff. I cannot wait until Saturday comes by, my Itunes filled with Halloween songs blaring, candy corn eating, picture taking. Ladies and Gents, that is when Halloween officially starts for me! 
Right on dude! Yea 4 weeks is too short. Mine’s going to have to wait until the weekend of the 26th, so 5 weeks won’t be too bad!
I hear ya. I usually don’t take them down for about another 1-2 weeks after the 31st. So this should give me close to 2 months. I do a bit of overkill in the house though, more so than the outside. I do a lot of lights, spiderwebs, strobes…etc. I’ll have to post some pics this week for sure. Years ago, my wife was against me for the decor in the home, but it’s really grown on here and she loves it! 
Already on it bro. I’ve been setting up the house with Halloween stuff for the past few days. I just picked up a mannequin yesterday. 
I’m making modifications to it right now. I’m painting the hands, touching up the fingernails, giving them veins and blood spatter. I made adjustments to the head so it easily accepts all my masks without being to tight. I’m using a pair of eyes that I bought from “maskmaniac” rather than the eyes that were painted on it. I just ordered a spruce green suit to put on it as mine doesn’t fit because I’m 4 inches shorter than my 6’ 2" mannequin. My 17" knife even fits in the right hand. It’s f@#king perfect! I’ll post some pics as soon as I get my coveralls in the mail.
I’m definitely putting up some stuff this weekend. It sucks cause it does seem like it flys by way to fast.

Im going to start this weekend as well. Although I wont be adding too much newer stuff. I have been nawing on this candy corn for days.
Do you think it’s too early to do the outside yet? I don’t know what my neighbors will think. It’s almost the same as when people leave their Christmas lights on year round. 
Don’t mind what your neighbors think. If I had a house I’d have my stuff up this weekend or next weekend. Wish my parents had stuff to put up though 
Thats a big 10-4 buddy! The fiance and I have put up quite a bit of stuff already. We started almost 2 weeks ago lol I know a little early!
I’m thinking of putting up a life size Myers up against the window. Anyone done that or have pics? I don’t have a mannequin, so I gotta figure out how to make it stay erect. I don’t mean using Viagra either! 
My friend has put some pretty decent “Bodies” together using 2x4s and chicken wire. When they’re dressed up they look pretty good. He found the plans online someplace. I just did a quick search, but am not readily finding anything. If I come across it I’ll post it here.
I usualy got outside and inside done by now but with my GF’s Grandfather being Ill I didnt even get a chance to start yet . Hopefully he is better soon but if he aint better I might not even be putting anything up this year which I hate to have to not do . I always enjoyed dressing up what ever house or apartment I am in at the time for Halloween and this maybe the first year I dont get to

I know that feeling. My Dad died October 29th, 2006 and Halloween night wasn’t the same. But, because he’d come over every Halloween night prior, I had to continue with plans. We ended up having a blast that night, which was like a tribute to him.

I really want to start, but my Wife is a party pooper.
