Just wanting to know who the actor was that portrayed Michael in this Scene that was Cut from the Theatrical Version…so far ive heard it was Will Sandin, but this person looks much older than Will was and Different too,was this actor uncredited maybe, any help on who this actor was would be most appreciated please.
I’d like to know myself. Always thought this was an interesting scene, especially with the intermittent blood dripping-
I have no clue who played him but I honestly don’t think it was Will Sandin. Keep in mind that these additional scenes in the mental hospital weren’t shot in 1978 with the original Halloween. They were actually shot in 1981. The reason they did this was to try to blend the Halloween storyline into Halloween 2 on television as Laurie Strode wasn’t meant to be Michael’s sister in the original Halloween (TLW told me that they originally titled it “Babysitters’ Murder” before changing their mind to “Halloween”). This explains the scene with “sister” written in blood on the door in Michael’s room at the hospital, this additional scene was done to match the original Halloween to Halloween 2. They are NOT deleted scenes but rather additional scenes. These additional scenes were put together into Halloween & were aired on television after the filming of Halloween 2. It may have been Will Sandin given that it was shot 3 years after 1978 so he should look little older but I honestly think it’s just another kid. Also, do not be confused with the scene of where P.J. Soles ran into “Laurie’s” house exclaiming “He’s following me!” referring to the “shape” as a part of these additional scenes because this scene is actually a deleted scene shot in 1978 but it was shown in the television with all of these additional scenes. I personally like all of these scenes together better than the original theatrical version. Hope this helps, my friend.
According to sources an actor named Adam Gun portrayed Michael as a Kid in H2
_As Colbster said this scene wasn’t cut from the theatrical version it was actually ADDED for the TV broadcast.
However it was NOT just for the sole purpose of bridging the tv version to Halloween II.
Halloween had several scenes that had to be cut when it was sold to NBC in 1980 due to the station’s “Standards and Practices” department. As a result some extra scenes had to be filmed in order for Halloween to remain long enough for its two-hour television slot.
Carpenter shot for 3 days using the crew of Halloween II to film enough new footage to cover these scenes that were cut. These scenes not only replaced the cut scenes (cursing, nudity, etc) but had the added bonus as serving as a “bridge” between the tv broadcast of Halloween and the new theatrical installment, Halloween II.
Part of that bridge between the two movies was to use Adam Gunn for the “You Fooled Them Michael” added scene for the tv cut as well as some brief “flashback” scenes for Halloween II. Adam is credited at the end of Halloween II as “Young Michael Myers”.
I hope this helps!
Here’s a full list of the added scenes for the tv cut:
"Board Review "- Loomis pleading to the board to transfer Michael to a maximum security facility
“You Fooled Them Michael” - Loomis confronting young Michael and telling him he isn’t “fooled” by his comatose-behavior act, which is the scene from where your pic originates
“The Evil Is Gone” - another “bridge” scene where Loomis visits the sanitarium where Michael escapes and sees the word “Sister” written on the door in blood.
*“Borrowing Clothes” - basic “girl talk” between Annie, Laurie and Lynda. The beginning of this scene is kinda cool because it shows Lynda being scared due to the fact someone has been following her.

Thanks for that
So who’s the Kid that plays Michael with the Dark hair in Lauries dream in H2 when she visits him at the sanitarium
Spot on info again Benny! The community appreciates it
According to Darren aka Tony Moran Fan Will Sandin played this scene . He said that he looks differenct because this scene wasn’t filmed in 1978 it was filmed a year later or so. That’s why he looks different and hes hair is straight Hope this helps
Thanks for the info, Benny! I was told that the “Borrowing Clothes” scene was filmed in 1978 by another member here but again people always can be wrong. After seeing what you said, this could be why they never showed “Laurie’s” hair in that scene (hidden in the towel on her head as if she had gotten out of the shower) so the audience wouldn’t recognize the change in her hair between scenes. Jamie Lee Curtis’ hair was drastically changed in John Carpenter’s The Fog (1980) which is why she wore a wig in 1981 Halloween II (picture taken from a simple search in the Yahoo search engine provided).
Anyway to get back to the point of this topic, Adam Gunn is the one who played in the dream scene in the sanitarium. But, I don’t think Adam is the one who played in that additional scene because the both “young Michael” scenes were shot in 1981 and the kids look too different to be the same kid in the same year. Maybe it was Will Sandin but I don’t think they would care enough to go through all of the trouble to find the same kid from 1978. Here are clear pictures of Will Sandin and Adam Gunn (from when he played in the “Little House on the Prairie”). I personally think the kid in the question looks more like Will Sandin but I honestly don’t think it’s him.

Thanks for that.
So who’s the Kid that plays Michael with the Dark hair in Lauries dream in H2 when she visits him at the sanitarium
Adam Gunn.
Although both scenes (the scene where Loomis visits Michael in the sanitarium for the tv cut and the scene where Laurie is dreaming in Halloween II) have a similar looking and approximately same aged boy playing Myers it appears that Gunn only played the part in Halloween II and Will for the TV cut of Halloween.
I can’t confirm this since Will is not credited for this in the tv cut, only Gunn in Halloween II but I have sent Will the question and waiting on a reply.
Sorry for the confusion.
As I was originally writing a reply to your question I mentioned that Adam Gunn was credited in HALLOWEEN II as playing “Young Michael Myers”. I also said they used Adam Gunn in the “You Fooled Them Michael” scene for the Halloween TV cut although my intention was to say they used this “character” for that scene.
It is my opinion that Will (for whatever reason) actually played Michael in the sanitarium during the tv shoot and Adam Gunn “Young Michael Myers” (Laurie’s dream/flashback" scene) in Halloween II. Why? That I don’t know nor why Will wouldn’t have been credited for the tv cut scene.
When I get an answer from Will I’ll pot it for you!

**_In the world of Myers, SELDOM are things certain! It’s not impossible that it was filmed in 1978.
Although if that were the case consider the following.
In 1999 Anchor Bay released a 2-disc special limited- edition Halloween dvd set (holographic cover) that featured the fully restored oringal movie on disc one and the debut of the official release of the TV cut on disc 2.
A cardboard chapter selections insert card was included in this set.
There are 30 chapters and four of those are bolded, one of those four (You Fooled Them Michael) being the scene featuring who we believe may be Will Sandin.
At the bottom of this card is a note saying exactly this:
“Bolded Chapter selections are the additional TELEVISION scenes”. The word “television” is not capatalized but I wanted to emphasize this word. If this were a “cut’” scene filmed in 1978 then it would make no sense to call this “cut scene” an “additional television scene”, or at least so you would think.
Again…in the world of Halloween seldom are things certain!_**
Nice! Concrete info, Benny. Love the supporting picture. I hope you didn’t misunderstood me and took it as a way of me saying that you were 100% wrong. I only stated that it would make sense that they hid Jamie Lee Curtis’ hair in that scene that I now believe (thanks to you) was shot in 1981 with the rest of the other additional scenes. I guess the other member believed that it was shot in 1978 only because P.J. Soles and Nancy Loomis were present in that scene and that it was outside the sanitarium where the 3 other additional scenes were shot. Very interesting, it was as if they were editing the original “Halloween”. I only saw this version once which was aired on television on AMC channel about 6 years ago, the sad thing is that I was at my grandparents’ lake resort so I was not able to record it or rewind it so it took me by surprise.

_Thanks man and ABSOLUTELY NOT! Nothing wrong at all with what you said.
Too often I think we get offended when someone challenges our opinions on the Halloween/Myers topics. Without opinions and open discussions what would be the point of having a forum?

It was Will Sandin in the scene in question. I asked him back in '08. You can tell it’s him. It’s just that a few years had passed since H1, and we all know how much kids can change in regards to their looks in just a short time.
Adam Gunn was Michael in the dream sequence from H2.

Thanks Andrew! That resolves this mystery.
I thought it definitely looked like Will but wasn’t 100% positive.
Did Will say anything about why they had Adam do it for Halloween II? Just seems odd considering how close in proximity these two scenes were shot.
Thanks for confirming this Andrew! I had always thought this was without a doubt Will, like you say
you can tell it’s him with the only difference being he’s older. Even his hair looks the exact same,
only more flattened on the sides a tad more it seems

Damn good question my friend. That I don’t know.
