why michael stalks laurie revealed

I just finished reading the original H2 novel and WOW, Not big on reading but I am truly impressed.

In the novel it explains why Michael seeks Laurie and I think its such a brilliant explanation. SPOILERS ahead for those who have not read it.

While in the hospital trying to crawl down the hall, Laurie begins to have flashbacks of her childhood. When this happens, she remembers her parents taking her to visit Michael. She then remembers her parents practically beating her if she did not forget about him. She was forced to forget everything about her brother and over time, after their parents death, she had been through so much that she had completely forgotten who he was or who she was. She lived the rest of her life thinking she was Laurie Strode and had blocked out all traces of her past. Being the only person who really did not understand what her brother did wrong, michael loved her and when he discovered she had forgotten about him he became furious. His revenge is based on this, he wants to punish her for forgetting about him. I find this brilliant and I think this should have been explained in the movie. Thoughts?

If this is the real reason for why Michael kills in the original timeline (H1, H2, H20, HR). So why kills his family when they are 17? And why in H20 Michael goes for John?

Sorry for my bad English.

by jack martin? oh yeah i have that…if i were you i would read the first one curtis richards…even more revealing shit, incredible…but i would say that is their interpretation of it all…basically expanding from the scene of laurie visting michael in the original H2, the first book has alot of great stuff has alot of great stuff in it…loomis is rutheless he says at one point he is going to find michael rip his heart out an shuv it down his fucking throat, swearing and all lol…it even describes michaels mask as grotesque i remember some crazy shit like it saying michael had a belt…an the lips on the mask were reddish tint…so weird i never imagined michael to look like that at all…but it is there man read it

I did like those touches in the H2 novel. It has a more down beat tone at the end where Laurie isn’t sure where her ‘true’ home is any more. Very well done.

I still feel that the unknown is what makes Myers scary. Never seeing his face, hearing his voice, or knowing why he kills is genius.

ehhh i honestly feel the mystery is gone unfortunatley…we all know michael now…and everyone is alway s like ‘‘you neveer knew thats why he is scary cause he is just evil blah blah’’ but in reality evil is the motive so we obviously knew all along other then being in the theatre literally in 78
