When you mentioned a sc75 on the bay I literally went there to buy it as I have seen a couple of copies and they blew me away. Prob was the longer I looked at it…the less I wanted to push the button. I have just seen much better masks on this site and don’t feel that copy is anything special..especially for the bucks.
Now don’t get me wrong…I am not taking anything away from the proto. I love my copy by Freddy Loper and I know its lineage will literally hold it in the big league. But…it literally looks like a 75 kirk…whereas my nightmare has all the hero nuances of the movie mask. The forehead crease, the slight indent or distortion in the upper left forehead, the more pursed lips and the slightly more exaggerated herpes spot. The ultimate nightmare can do stretch with ease and display to replicate those behind the scenes shots of an unstuffed mask and that’s why it has top spot for me.
