I can pick these Carhartt Tan Coveralls up locally for $40… I was wondering if they would work with my RZ mask? I have attached pics of the coveralls and the mannequin that I want them to go on (i’ll be getting rid of the blue coveralls you see).
I realize that i’ll have to weather them - i’m just making sure that the style is decent…
Hi KillerQ, These look very much like the X01 Coveralls if I am not mistaken. These are the coveralls used under the hobo outfit in Halloween 2 I believe. If weathered and bloodied correctly they look great, very similar to the ones worn in H1, the main difference being the pockets. I wore these with my Artifact last Halloween and think they looked great, obviously the X02 is the better choice for a H1 look, but these should be just fine. Daniel
Will need to be HEAVILY weathered, and I mean even more than usual, to look like the ones on screen, but they will suffice. TBH, I wear an old pair of John Deer brand boots. The tread isn’t right, but nobody really looks at that anyway.
Aah… i just started research on these… Thanks for the tip - I didn’t realize that they were more on the brown/Carolina logger style… I have other boots (Danner, etc) but those are black… I guess i have to do some more searching… or heavy weathering, lol.
The boots Michael wear are Carolina Loggers, but I’m unsure which ones. I’m thinking these, maybe? I’m unsure, though, because I recall hearing at one time that the specific model of boots Michael wears are no longer produced.
Yes Davy is correct, the model has been discontinued!
When i attempted a H9 look i tried finding the Carolina boot that best resembles the Carolina 8519 model, mine are Carolina but not the exact model, but unbelievably similar!
The Carolina boot original before weathered
Finished up and weathered, sorry about the second shot, came out to bright, the only weathering i have not completed with the boots are destroying the steel toe ( as used in the movie ) MickIbanez has a sick pair of weathered H9 boots aswel
Here’s a shot of the screen used H9 Carolina boots
I was lucky enough to score a pair of these on eBay last year like Davy and Shane said I don’t think there made anymore
Use screen caps then flat black spray paint… Misted very lightly, then heavy in places, fading in and out, unravel a few threads here and there, maybe a forced rip or two…continue using screen caps and always remember don’t overdo it, like cutting hair, you can always take more off, but you can’t put it back on!!! For holes, use a small ice pick, then continue to unravel it outward as needed. Like I said go LIGHT at first, continue using screen caps!!! Hope this helps.
When I was weathering my Jason costume, I had really good luck using colored hair spray (Brown and black) as well as acrylic paints diluted in water in sorry bottles (tan, brown, and black).
I like those, because it is more forgiving Than spray paint when blending right after you spray…
Time to find the best screen caps for reference material!
