You want to spend how much on a Michael Myers mask?!?!

Could you stop bumping topics from 2009 please

my parents cant believe people are STILL buying masks AFTER hALLOWEEN

Some old threads are classic and are fun to revisit, like the one with Jon wearing the #2 khdw, etc.

Good question. The answer remains out of reach. As you can see from Jon Dano’s reply here, we’re only told an example of a year’s worth of threads that are not to be bumped. Baby steps, guys…baby steps. :unamused:

I dont think theres really a rule saying u cant bump old threads. Its just kind of a use ur best judgement thing. There are many classic threads or threads that are very helpful and full of info that get bummped from time to time and i dont think thats the issue.

This thread is like 5 years old and about a guy whos family thought he was crazy for wanting to buy mask. Five years later its kinda like who the hell cares? Theres been a million threads like this one

Right. A thread like that, of course. But what about a thread from 2010 that shows a list of H1 behind the scenes pics or screen caps?

Lol im not sure i guess if its relevant still. Are u looking for old stuff to bump?

Bumping a good topic is one thing, bumping 10 random topics from 5 years ago makes it very hard to view what’s new.

New folks are told to use the search function. So if they find an old thread (whether it’s interesting or not) are they not allowed to post to it?

Or are we talking about when people type “bump” for the sole purpose of bringing it back up (with nothing added to the conversation)?

I will try and clear this up. If a thread is several years old, it usually has photo links that are no longer working. Therefore, the thread is kind of pointless. It has info about things that can no longer be seen. Many of those old threads were posted by old members that are no longer on here, and they won’t be on here to respond to comments or questions. Also, it pushes down newer threads that should take precedence. It usually isn’t a major issue, but lately we’ve had many new members bumping up a lot of old threads. I think it is great for newer members to visit old topics, but they don’t necessarily need to be updated or bumped. It is okay to just READ them and not have to comment. In fact, I think if more members read first, commented second, it would cut down on many unnecessary posts.

The search function is there to help out with questions members might have. If they can find the answers they need without having to start a topic, it benefits everyone. There is a wealth of information on this board and in the gallery, but new members need to take the initiative to search for it.

Thanks for the info, Boogeyman!
