Yeah that is crazy. Heard the 75k old mold can have issues with rot ?

I owned 5 of them and it was quite a few years I kept them for…when I sold them they were still in very good condition. The only problem I had was with my HMK.

Well, if I’m anything to go by, it is over five years now. I initially reached out to him by messenger in November of 2019 asking to be placed in line. Although, in fairness, I never truly got his attention until June of 2023. He is shipping my 98 Proto out this week.
I will say though, he is aware of the fact that his work carries a high inflation cost on the aftermarket, and has even seen people near the front of his line selling their spots to others. To circumvent this, he has created a “fast pass” which apparently allows for a fast track to the front of the line… for those willing to pay for it, of course. I have no idea what that costs though. By the time I’d heard of it, I was already a couple of years deep into the wait, so I figured I’d just stick it out.

Jesus…5 years 
I’m not saying his pieces are not worth it (they definietly are) but for me thats why I’m prepared to shell out more cash for the copies I want. I couldn’t commit to that length of time…who knows what life could throw at me.

Yeah, but it’s not like you’re sitting in a room, staring at a wall (not seeing the wall) during that time. It doesn’t do much for our sense of instant gratification that we’ve grown accustomed/addicted to in modern society, but it doesn’t stop us from enjoying life while we wait. You just have to be… inhumanly patient.

I hear you man and you are right 
…but for example in the last 3 years I lost my father, my father in law, my uncle and 2 of my friends. So I could not personally commit to that length of time as my priorities could be elsewhere. This did indeed result in me (up until the last year) having a break from the hobby and this site

Sorry to hear that. But it’s not really much of a “commitment” tbh; you don’t buy anything until your turn comes up. If you’re not ready or no longer interested when the time comes, James will just move on to the next person in line.

Yeah original old mold 75k is the H2 I posted earlier. Seriously makes the best H2 ever.
