Thought this would be interesting. What is your second favorite character in the Halloween series? Was watching this episode of the Twilight Zone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgpcaieHpBk last night, and the other night the Fiendish Ghouls… Both had the mastermind acting of Donald Pleasence in them. Both in odd and different roles. I’ve seen many movies with Donald in them. He was amazing. To me Donald made the Halloween series better. Just think that he defined Michael Myers in ways with his brilliant acting and tone that none other could’ve really done. The majority of us like Myers as our favorite character. So, who is your second favorite character? Mine of course is Donald Pleasence.

Pleasence is tops. Castle as The Shape is second. Because those are the obvious picks I’ll add Charles Cyphers as Sheriff Brackett for third favorite.

Definitely Donald Pleasence, the series wouldn’t have been the same without him. He makes me tolerate anything after H2 
Good Ol’ Loomis has definitely been a fave of mine and I think he’s always what partly made 4-6 enjoyable to me but I’ll admit I always liked Laurie. I thought Jamie Lee Curtis did a great job with the character and she’ll always be the main protagonist of the first two films.
obviously Myers is #1. you nailed it though, Donald is hands down my #2. he is the best actor in H1 & H2, by a long shot. he really gives life to michael.
My choice is Dr Loomis as well. Donald Pleasence brought a great deal of emotional depth to the role and could make you believe that Michael was something otherworldly and beyond comprehension. I think he was great throughout the series and I absolutely love The Twilight Zone. Such a great show.

JLC for me. She gives it that special Halloween feel that I can’t quite put into words. Such a magical movie! 
Donald Pleasense is the string that held the series together and gave it legendary status. He’s the top pick for me. I can’t choose a 2nd because all the characters gave it what it needed. I almost wanna say Tommy Doyle because he’s the first character who knew something was up before sh*t really started happening, and gave it that realistic creep-factor that…“the boogeyman’s outside…look!”
Loomis, and it’s no coincidence that the series hasn’t felt the same since he passed.
Donald Pleasence (Loomis) is definitely my second favorite. My third would be Laurie but not JLC. The Scout version.
Laurie Strode from H1, H2 and H20 is my second favorite. Donald is the third.
Rachel from H4 has always been my second favorite. In fact, I think she’s one of the best final girls of all time. Such a travesty she was killed off in H5.
