1ST/2ND ANNUAL 2014/2015 What'd ya do for Halloween, pics, stories?

Just curious what everybody did on Halloween night. Did you dress up, go trick or treating, take the kiddies out, go to a haunted house, watch movies? We went to a mall first where they were handing out candy and taking pictures, then we went trick or treating and then it was off to the haunt! I made 2 costumes this year , my buddy Andrew (halloweenfan) invited me and my daughter to work a haunt from the 22nd to the 31st which I happily accepted :smiley: It was cold some nights here in Nebrasksa but in between hay wagon rides we would stay warm standing by 55 gallon fire barrels, Ive lived in Vegas my whole life minus the last 2 years and moving to Pennsylvania next week. It was interesting to see how the midwest got down on H night and our memories here will last us forever. :drinkers:

I played Harry Warden from My Bloody Valentine, and I did Myers for 3 days.
My daughter played Sam this year from Trick or Treat and she would get on the wagon first. I would go up in this 2 story house with my different masks (Warlock, Wmp/Shat, Benny/Creep, Wmp/H2SM, TOTS/Uwannadon H2) and look thru the window down at the hayride people with a flashlight over my head. “look its Michael Myers!” many would say as my daughter would shine her light on the window to attract peoples attention.
My daughter was on the wagon as the people arrived, when she noticed one of her 5th grade classmates sat next to her.“cool costume” she said. My daughter replied “I’m Kristen! Im in your class dude!” the girl was like “no way!” Kristen then shined her light up on the window where I was. “Michael Myers! Whoah!” My daughter replied thats my dad! The girl replied “your so lucky dude!” my daughter, “why because I get to work the Haunt?” “No because your dad is Michael Myers!” :laughing: I’m still smiling as I know its a memory we both wont forget. :smiley:

I didn’t get to dress up as Michael this year but I had a blast with my wife and kids. My son got a big kick out of everyone stopping us for pics. Figure I only have a few years of the kids wanting to do family costumes so my wife and I will certainly enjoy it as long as they allow lol.

Haha thats awesome man u make a good Gomez!!

Me and my gf went to my parents for awhile while they handed out candy. Then we watched trick r treat, behind the mask and body bags.

Went with my girl to see The Foo Fighters play at the Ryman Auditorium from about 11pm-2am.

That’s freakin awesome don, took my little queen elsa and princess Anna from Frozen trick or treating for bout 1/2 hour, 40 degrees here, we didn’t last long, got home and watched HalloweeN movies of course.

Well, when I woke up in the morning it was actually snowing! Couldn’t believe that. I had class in the morning, but being that my literature prof is also a part time magician, we got a magic show that day in class. Being Halloween, I did something I never do and skipped my last class so I could go home early. I went home and messed around until I went to work at noon. We got out of work early and I went home, showered, and put on my costume for the trick or treaters:

Got a decent amount this year, as I was expecting, and all the kids were either impressed with, or terrified by, my costume. There was one kid who was dressed as Jason with a Neca mask on and all he could say was “woah!”. Though, there was one really little girl that I took my mask off for because she was so scared. It was really cute, actually. I also found out that one of my friends is a big Jason fan and is currently putting together a Part 6 costume, for which I gave him some tips. I lit the jacks at about 5:30 when it was getting dark:

and snapped some pics and refilled the candy bowl. We got a couple more trick or treaters after that, but it dwindled down at around 6, because of the cold probably. I turned in for the night, ate some left over pizza and finished watching the Halloween horrorthon on AMC.

I volunteered at two haunts for 10 days straight dressed as Michael Myers with various shape masks. First was a haunted barn with my Jaycees group. This was the first year setting a haunted house up in a creepy 120 year old barn and it was a success. The local Jaycees are back in the haunting business that’s for sure! After the three nights of that were done I joined by buddy Don at a haunted hayrack ride put on by a local college softball team for more scary fun. A few people recognized me as Michael, but for some reason lots of kids would call my Freddy. I don’t know if they were trying to be funny or actually serious. How can you mistake Michael Myers for Freddy??? Michael is bigger than Freddy plus they both look COMPLETELY different. And I don’t know, one talks lol!! And yes Don it was freezing last night! I was so glad to get home to a warm bath when I got home shortly after midnight.

This Halloween was…slightly disappointing for the trick or treaters in my area…
It appeared that every 2/5 houses had some form of note on there door or locked gates etc…
The notes would state something like…" We do not celebrate Halloween…so please do not knock as we do not have treats…"
We actually noticed 1 individual screaming at kids no older than 15 after they attempted to approach his yard,was depressing to us :frowning:
It seemed like this year not as many individuals was not in the Halloween spirit :frowning:
So we went home…my wife,kids and i watched Halloween 4 and 5,i have not seen those 2 films since the late 90’s so it was like the first time watching it for me with my family :slight_smile:

DemonicForce_AUS - that sucks, DAMN are some people miserable, yet they cant wait to celebrate Christmas, should embrace all the holidays

My Halloween was a blast, The uk get a bad rap about how they handle Halloween, and for the build up it they deserve it, but on the actual days, and heading out, its fantastic, a few kids came to the door, wanted to get rid of sweets so give the ones I did not want.

My Halloween I would call it a 3 parter for me. We went to comic con on the 25th October, I went has Hobo Michael Myers. Like I say about that day, it did not get the attention that Jason got, but the attention Michael got on Halloween was fantastic. The Halloween weekend started out Thursday, we went to see horns, damn that film was trippy but fully enjoyed the film, which was a good sign of things to come this weekend.

A funny story on Halloween night, I was checking out the train times so we could head out, a police officer comes up to me, and says? can you go over there and kill those kids for me, he loved the costume, so it was good to see the cops have a good sense of humour.

One thing is for sure, which I knew it would happen which is why I picked the RZ Myers look, the RZ Myers look for the casual person which Halloween nights are, it does scare them more, because of the ragged look of Michael. Its the best costume I have ever worn, never done a full out Michael Myers costume. I physically could stand the test of time on Halloween, we went out after 7, came back 430 in the morning, and the following day we went out again, and I could have done a late one again.

Out of the 3 versions of Michael I used on comic con, and 2 nights of Halloween, the buried 2 wins it. I get the best reaction, and people wanted allot of pics with me. So overall, got my Halloween costume every year now, no need to improve it, this is has good as it gets now

Dressed up as the crazy Character in Funhouse, shot pool, played some pong and drank a six pack with a couple of buddies. All while listening to the hair bands from the 80’s. :supz:

Hey guys,

I had a pretty decent HalloweeN. I turned 5o this year and along with 50 I had to get colonoscopy. which was a horror movie in itself. Not fun. But after I recovered and me and family headed down to local mall for a stroll.Lot of people were stopping me and my sone for pictures and a lot of great laughs. Went home and caught an episode of the The Walking Dead from last weekend on Vudu.

Haha, the dude in the background wearing the white headband is my co-worker and old roommate from our base in North Dakota. Awesome guy he is too! God, what a small world we live in! Did he ever compliment your costume? I’m only asking cuz he likes Myers get-ups too. He’d never dress up as him, but he still enjoys seeing great Myers cosplays when they do come up. Nice pics, by the way.

Awesome pics and stories everybody!!! As usual the michigan weather was horrible again this year we had temps in the 30s rain and 30mph winds so the wifey and son were only out trick or treating for a couple hours I stayed home and passed out candy as hobo myers it was a blast I scared just about every kid that walked up on my porch some of them ran away as soon as they seen me and never even took the candy lol here’s a few pics of my 6 year old son,the wife and my sister as the myers family from rzh2

I had a Blast doing my Normal Halloween Day chores, Drinking :drinkers: , refilling the Wife’s candy bowl, making sure no Little Guys and Gals get inside of Fence, sneaking a few Cold Ones :drinkers: , watching pneumatic props are functioning properly, resetting cd players, unclogging fog machines, seeing which breaker tripped and why, refilling the Wife’s candy bowl, Having a Couple :drinkers: , Refilling Ice and fluid in fog machines, Getting some time to snap a few pics and check out the Moms :sunglasses: ,and Ocassionally getting to put my Costume on and getting stuck posing for pictures with everyones Kids. I LOVE IT!!! Another Great year! Hopefully, I’ll have a Video up soon, haven’t had the time to view the couple that were taken! Here’s some Pics!

We do live in a small world, do not think he saw my Myers costume. Thanks, it was good going has Michael, but I did miss going has Jason just because of the mask combo, come may I am defiantly bringing back My Jason costume

Awesome seeing the hobo costume in all its glory, with the white flannel on either side of myn, I was obsessed in getting the white flannel shape right, got to get the sowing done on one part so it does not keep going back to front
