Well it’s FINALLY the big day!
About 2 and a half hours until we get to jump in… so close and yet this will be the longest 2 and a half hours of my life. So excited!

Got the deluxe and played about an hour. They have quite a few bugs to be fixed and I think I’ll just wait for a patch to come out before I revisit it. Mine keeps restarting on chapter one even though I completed it three times.
Think they must’ve fixed it. I’ve been able to play through it all now.
I won’t spoil anything but unfortunately if I’m being honest the story mode is extremely underwhelming. There’s a ton from the original film that is missing and a lot of it makes zero sense.
I have no doubt the multiplayer will be very fun, but if you’re going into this expecting the movie in a game form, you will be disappointed and I myself am disappointed.

I was a lot more excited for the story than the multiplayer, and having watched a playthrough of the story, I have similar feelings. I pre-ordered the physical version, which releases October 6, and I’m honestly on the fence right now about cancelling it or not. As someone who’s always wanted a Halloween game, those are not words I ever wanted to say, but here we are.
Yeah I understand that if you’re not really wanting to play multiplayer. I am excited for multiplayer and after the crash I’ve felt since my expectations were so high, I feel I’ll still end up liking the game and having a lot of fun.
Maybe you should wait for it to be on sale.

Yeah, I’m really curious to see if they fix the issues with the upcoming patches, and hopefully add content from the other films as well. I’ve got a month to decide, so I’ll stick it out.

So keep in mind my computer can run max graphics on games like RDR2 and cyberpunk etc. why the hell do I have to turn the graphics to medium for the game to run somewhat smoothly?
What graphics card and how much ram do you have? I’m on a 5080 with 32 GB and I’m getting around 80-120 consistently throughout my 4 hours. Couple frame drops occasionally but nothing horrible.

SoI’m not sure if any of you have heard, but apparently some leakers went into the game files, and they found a lot of unreleased content we could be getting at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later. They found H4 and H5 Michaels, two maps (one of which is a farm), Halloween costumes for survivors, 2 new survivors, and new items.
The game really has been a lot of fun. Yes of course there’s bugs and things that can be improved on but honestly I genuinely am convinced the people who are hating on the game don’t like the fact you can’t throw a pallet on Michael and then proceed to flashlight loop him the rest of the match

Yeah it’s been fun. The only really disappointing thing for me was the singleplayer, but now that my expectations are a little lowered, it isn’t bad, just not exactly what I was hoping for.
I’ve already got 28 hours in the game lol, pumped a lot into it during Labor Day weekend. It’s been fun. Definitely needs some balance/bug fixes though.

Thoughts on H5 aside, it’s really awesome to see him added. Supposedly, 2018 Myers is being added on the same day. H4 Myers was found in the game files, so I hope they add him at some point too. Also, they’re adding two new survivors, survivor Halloween costumes, and the Tower Farm map from H5.
Makes me very happy they are actually adding the different versions of Myers in the game. Starting with 5 is definitely weird I’d say since it’s one of the worst rated Myers film/look but hey I’m just happy we’re getting it regardless. Really hope as for the other versions (H2, H6 etc) the companies aren’t poopoo heads with the license cause hey that’s one of the reasons F13 died.

Just read a review of the game on a gaming website I visit. It pinpointed some inaccuracies, but ended like Get the game no matter what, you won’t be disappointed. I was pleasently surprised.
I would imagine this is for marketing. If they added the worst Michael skin at the very end then they’d probably make very little sales for it, lol.
As far as I am aware, Illfonic already know that the most requested skin and map so far is Halloween II Myers and Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. I would expect those to come last, assuming they can get a licence for it.
